Located a short walking distance (10 - 15 minutes) from the heart of Edinburgh, Craigmoss Guest House is very convenient for sightseeing, eateries, pubs and shopping. The owners, Harry and Isabelle are very welcoming, friendly and willing to share their local knowledge. The home cooked breakfast started the day well. The establishment is very clean and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

On our arrival, seeing my husband had a disability our room was immediately changed to a first floor room from a second floor room, without even asking. Molly and Roxy the family dogs were adorable and very friendly. We have no problem recommending and staying here again, fantastic. I really like everything in this bed&breakfast.i was with a friend of mine and I really enjoyed this place.the bedrooms and bathroom are so nice and tidy; the breakfast is so good,i can suggest the real scottish/english breakfast with sausage,eggs,mushrooms beans and more..it's so so good and tasty. The hotel was lovely. It was close to the shops and pubs. You can get the 11 bus right outside the hotel. The breakfast was lovely. The room was nice and plenty of space. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Thank u for a lovely break in Edinburgh. The location is very good, it's very easy to access to city center by bus or walking. There is a bus stop in front. The price is very good and the breakfast is good. For the breakfast, they give you some options which are pretty satisfying. Craigmoss is very convenient (10 minutes walking distance) for the Playhouse Theatre for "Cats" , Lion King & other Professional shows There is an excellent bus service in Edinburgh with bus stop opposite Craigmoss. Myself and my daughter enjoyed our stay at Craigmoss. The proprietors were helpful regarding information needed on places to go, things to do. Hearty breakfast too! Would stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay there. Our host was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. It was a bit outside of the city but not that far. We had a great stay the room was cosy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, will deffinatley use this bed and breakfast again. Would highly recommend. Lovely and clean. The only thing I didn't like but really are stupid tripes were the kettle in the room,a little bit dirty and the mugs,they were in steel and I prefer the ceramic one,but doesn't matter. Nothing. The room and bathroom was pretty clean but I felt like the sheet in the bad wasn't enough clean. That is the only problem. Being in our seventies we found the access stair to the second floor bedrooms a bit steep. A bit to walk from the city centre (20 min to Waverley) but a bus stop just outside the house. The whole house smelled like cat urine. The selection for brakefast was promising but turned out rather flavourless. Bed mattress was little bit hard for my taste. The bathroom is across the floor (dark at night) and quite cold. none. Shower was not good. Cold and warm in a mix, not strong enough! Breakfast good, but not enough for hungry men. There is some dust in corners. Nothing. location is a little bit far away from the downtown. Too expensive compared to the space. The room was too small for two people and not suitable for a hole week. One night would be ok. The room had a wall just in front of the window, which made the room a little dark and unfriendly.

By Car: From the A1: - The A1 ends at the east end of Princes Street. - Turn right from Waterloo Place onto the A900 (Leith). - Carry on down Leith Street. - At the roundabout, go straight over (the Playhouse Theatre will be on your right). - At the second roundabout, go straight over, heading downhill on Leith Walk. - Pilrig Street is the 3rd main street on the left (look for the church on the corner). - Craigmoss is on the left-hand side opposite the park.
