Friendly ,Clean and made us feel very welcome. On our next visit to Edinburgh we would more likely stay here again. The young lady who was there was very helpful and was always there to answer any queries.Good value for money, plus £5 per person for a cooked breakfast along with cereals etc was excellent value. Guy who owned the guest house was very pleasant and helpful. all reviews »
Owner was very friendly and could not do enough to help. the owners were very helpful and friendly...breakfast was delicious. The Staff were very friendly. Very friendly staff. A lovely room with lots of space, the bed was great big and confortable with lot of natural light . Tea and coffee in the bedroom. Easy to work TV. Pleasant sized room for the money. A breakfast just how I like it. Very pleasant couple in charge. ( Hungarian.) Easy reach of the town. Attractive dining room. Good value for the money in expensive Edinburgh. a reasonably short walk to town centre therefore saving money on taxi's etc. friendly staff, helpfull and quiet location but very close to restaurants, shops, pubs etc. i did not see my room as it had been cancelled without my knowledge. Good location. Staff are eager to help and friendly.the bed was very comfortable. I can't think of any, especially considering the price we paid, £69 for 2 nights over the weekend. My friends room had no lights working. The door doesn´t have a locker. It's no frills. The bed had a cheap mattress, the furniture had seen better years, the state of repair was mediocre, poor in places. The smell of the staff smoking was not really masked by the air freshener. Lovely hair in breakfast, chipped glass for juice in the morning, mould in the bath. room was not serviced, had to ask for fresh supplies of tea and coffee. Window would not open had to force it out. I can understand asking for payment up front first, but the owner would not show us the room first, otherwise I would not have stayed there and he was in a huff because we asked him for a TV.
