This is our second stay at hotel LÜXX some of old staff changed. Davut & all staff is very nice we were just like in home or can say stayed at friends place. No problem. Break fast very good. Near to all historicall places & easy to reach other parts of city. Tram is on door step. There is a suggestion for hotel owners. Kindly upgrade your hotel & change the old showers in bathrooms & old hair dryers. Window glasses should be changed with new & thicker glass so make the .
all reviews » We booked this because of the room size (5 of us), location, and budget price. It was very close to all major locations, right on the tram line. The staff was very kind and a definite plus who were always willing to help and guide. Family rooms were large, we had two large families and another couple (3 rooms total). Felt secure & safe with the staff at desk 24/7. I will start to say that the staff was amazing! I wanna say extra thanks to Davut, Hasan, Ali and Necat. They was like a family to us. They gave us the best service 24/7 and the rooms was very clean and big. The location was fantastic, near to almost everything. I recomend this hotel to everyone, and i will defenitly come back! / Gabriella, Maria, Tiberja and Stefan. Staff behaviour and service was really excellent. Brothers Davut, Ali, Hassan and Jumma were very kind and helpfull. We were picked from the Ferry station on the day of our arrival. Eating places and public transport are in the vicinity of hotel. We stayed 9 days in this hotel and would love to book this in future. First of all it was pleasant that hotel hosted us earlier than the scheduled time!unexpected was also the fact that our towels were being replaced daily and sheets were clean when we needed!friendly environment from David and his stuff,thank you we had nice accommondation!!. Very close to the Sirkeci tram station, 10min walk to Haga Sophia - Blue Mosk - Topkapi palace. Also close to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar, and to the harbor for boat trips! Light bulbs were out, internet worked maybe once a day for a short time, felt and looked dirty, shower drain was very slow, very noisy from the tram line, cars, and people. Easily heard neighbors. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. There was nothing negative. Tram passes just in front of the hotel. Might be scary for the family with small children. Very noisy street, difficult to sleep with open windows, but they have air-conditioner. - it's not very luxuous, but who cares when you spent all time outside, Enjoying Istanbul. I have no complaints, everything was great!. Hot water running out after some time in the mornings. Elevator very small. the spaces in the hotel are not enough for moving. for example there was no place for my foot between the two beds. even the elevator door space wasn't enough. energy saver sensor of the corridors was very fast so you have to move your hand to get it on. Noisy outside, but hey..if you want to have absolute silence, do not stay in center of Istanbul. Really good for the price, good breakfast and staff very kind and helpfull. A little bit loudly location due to metro. Small rooms (size of double bedroom are not enough even for single bed). Being right on the main road, tram noises are hard to avoid, especially in the early morning. breakfast. Very poor noise isolation!! The street is very noisy, and you can also hear everything that is going on in the hotel. Decor was 70s. Mold in the corner of the room. Bathroom had ants. The door did not automatically lock when leaving. Free breakfast was average. Tram came about 1.5 meters from the front door (this was common, with everything on that street). The elevator is small. Small rooms. breakfast was poor, cold was coming into the room, one window was stack with tape. Old furnitures,old and same food every day.dangerous for people.,also for children,that tramway only one meter from the hotels door. didn't seem to match the number of stars so a bit pricey. Having said that, there were no really cheap options around so I would probably still recommend it. Staff can hardly speak English. Breakfast starts at 7, but we had to leave earlier and they assured us breakfast would be ready for us at 6:30, but the night shift did not seem to know about it and of course there was no breakfast. Room not clean, we changed the room 3 times, at brekfast room only 10 chairs, at last day we couldnt have breakfast, as there was not enough chairs, reraly small elevator, room fro 1 night didnt have a toilette seat,. This hotel is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room was tiny, only 12 square meters. No room to store luggage. Wallpaper peeling from walls. I couldn't wait to get out. Poor value for money. Every thing exept staff. The staff were very unhelpful. once I arrived they took me to another cheaper hotel around the corner (which I would rate as less than 1 star) and pretended it is the same hotel !!! I contested this they they returned me to the Luxx and found a double room for me but it was horrible!!! with hole in the ground loo. no towels. the shower is broken and the noise was awful ...... I love Istanbul but I would never ever stay in this hotel. They are liers, charged two days And just Stay one, we lived on the next morning because it was awfull. Than I received a email from letsbookhotel.com informing that I change my reservation , this is a lie I was charge the the full reservation, ir letsbookhotel.com is a honest should contact the Luxx Hotel And correct the real charge, I have the facture to prove the fact, I will want a answer by email.
