We appreciated the hotel location, very close to important landmarks and surrounded by affordable stores, coffee-shops and restaurants. Most times we walked home from wherever we were (or took the tramway). The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was rather generous. We liked that the shower cabin was larger than in other hotels we've been in. The price we paid for a triple room was very reasonable, too. The wi-fi connection was satisfactory, too. I'd recommend Esen Hotel to anyone travel.
all reviews » Excellent place - near to transport stops, train station and all major attractions like Haya Sofia, Sultanahmed mosque and so on. Very friendly staff, good English. Good breakfast, different coffee, tea, juice free every time. Rooms are clean and comfortable, even not big. Toilet and shover clean, always with hot water. Towels changed every day. Window view excellent. I likt the hotel very much. And the respond from the hotel was very efficton and qoiuq from mr sedat. And whail my stay there was mr. Nadir Very helpful for me and my family regarding the bookings or any more information about Istanbul. Thank you mr .sadat and nadir so much for lovly stay and we wl recomend our friends to Esen hotel. The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, they gave us useful travel advice anytime we need. Location is excellent, very close to sirkici tram station and eminuno bus station. It is easy to go to most important landmarks of istanbul by walking. The hotel was full the second time we booked but the receptionist found us a room in an adjacent hotel at the same price. The porter even carried our luggage over to that hotel! Breakfast was Turkish but a buffet, so it was varied. The manager was Nadir was very friendly. The breakfast was good. Location was good within walking distance of Topkapi palace, Museum and Hodja Pasha as well as blue Masjid. Location is perfect, staff is friendly, but there was a huge problem with money (see "What didn't you like" section). Okey breakfast, okey personnel and okey service.. Some workers, location. Nothing !. Mostly we missed furniture in the room and in the bathroom. We had a single closet for three persons and we kept most of our stuff on the floor or in our suitcases. The room was small but we managed, eventually. It was also a little noisy and the curtains didn't prevent the light from coming in very early in the morning. Anyway, all in all, it was alright, especially for the price. Nothing to write here at all. Room is small but it is OK for one .person. No elevator. No elevator. Small room. No lift in the building. The only thing that was missing is the elevator!!!. no street signs or street names. hard to find without a taxi. it was A metro station very near and the entire building was moving when the metro was being passing .. room quality not best ever. very friendly boss. Rooms on small side, but you pays for what you get! Would always like coffee making facilities in room, but Turkeys power supply isn't the best so a walk down to reception was the answer. No safe. There were no lifts, but the porter carried our luggage to the 3rd floor. Tiny room and hardly any space to move about. The size of the family room was very poor for four people. If one person was walking in the room then the others have to stay in bed for free mobility. Toilet and shower was small.Pictures can be very decieving. Always look at the size of the room. small room, shower destroyed,. The toilet size. rather small rooms smelly bathrooms because of old sewer systems. Esen Hotel took extra 110 ytl from my credit card for no reason without my permission. I didn't use any mini bar drinks and left room without any damage. Moreover money were taken when I was on plane, that's why I didn't know about this until I came to my homecountry. Very bad built hotel, no elevator, my ( suit )room was at floor 6 with a great view but without elevator this hotel is not for familys with children. There is a construction site next to the hotel that i didnt know about, so we didnt sleep much at nights. Strange built stairs, had a waterleak in my bathroom that was not fixed. The hotel is ready to fall anyday.. No lock in my door, apto across street of hotel, WiFI never work in my room. I had reservation for 3 days, I had to leave after first night and I was charged more according to than because I left before... How could I stay without wifi, and lock in my door?. I booked three single rooms and got one single and one double room. Extremely dirty. It is close to the train station and is very noisy. No elevator six floors are a bit much. Poveiche will never go back to this hotel ! He does not deserve to be in the reservation system of all the booking !.
