Location is perfect , just minutes away walking to all Sultanahmet area attractions , very homey & friendly atmosphere , Mustafa is very very helpful and he's available to help all the time, he will tell u the best places to go if u want to get anything , breakfast is very delicious , u have a variety of food to choose from and having breakfast on the roof is breathtaking, , room is cleaned everyday ,we had the room in the basement, don't expect a spacious room coz u will only need it to s.
all reviews » Perfect location, very helpful (and playful) staff. The room was clean and the shower which got broken during our stay was fixed without any notion. There is a beautiful terrace with the Bosphorus and Blue Mosque views on the roof used for the breakfast and available during other time. We also had the access to the kitchen to make a coffee before the official breakfast time started. And also there are shuttles from the hotel to both Airports just for 10 Euro per person. We enjoyed our stay a lo. Excellent location 5 minutes walk from Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque. Mustafa, who runs the place, was very helpful in all ways. He even met us a couple of blocks away to guide us to the hotel when we phoned and said that we couldn't find it. Rooms were adequate for the price (Istanbul can be expensive). Our room was quiet, clean and reasonably well maintained. Nice view from the terrace at breakfast. Mustafa, the host is friendly and accomodating. This is more like a guest house or b&b than a hotel. If my teenage son was to travel to Istanbul I would encourage him to stay at this hotel because I know that he would be in good hands with Mustafa. Nothing was too much trouble. Fresh/clean linen/towels but worn out and some with small stains. Very small room but we did stay in economy one. -Rooms are way smaller than it looks like in the pictures. -humidity is sometimes unbearable -heating is inadequate -unless historical places are not major concern, better places can be considered with the same amount of money.
