Dating from 1843, Hotel Bellevue Pinte is the oldest hotel in Grindelwald and is just 100 metres from Grindelwald First Cable Car and 400 metres from the train station. Free entrance to the Grindelwald Sport Centre is provided. Chalet-style accommodation at the Bellevue Pinte offer antique furniture and satellite TV. There are private or shared bathrooms. Absolutely amazing hotel! We arrived really late and had to call beforehand to make necessary adjustments and the hostess was very understanding and welcoming. The breakfast was to die for! The room was so clean and so cozy that we didn't want to leave that place. How many times can you say "we were home away from home" about the hotel? :). Family owned, old style Swiss hospitality, quick and cheerful service, wonderful view of the Eiger from our window. This I think is one of the oldest hotels in Grindlewald, if you like old school this would be it.

Room was initially too warm, but we turned off the rads and all was well. Very noisy outside, all heard in the room at night.. No problems whatsoever. nothing. The ceiling was too low. The room was very dark with inadequate light fixtures. There were not enough electrical plugs for laptop, camera, and camcorders. The shower head is mounted on the wall way to low to stand under. The building itself needs to be repaired and remodeled. The bar across the street is loud and there is loud noise and people along the street talking and laughing during the middle of the night. Slightly noisy in the morning from traffic, as we had a west facing room on the main road. Can use a little renovation once in a while. The floor of our room was not flat. It was a bit sloping. The ceiling is about 190cm high. If you are more than 190cm... The bar across the street bothered our sleep. They open until midnight.
