The location is great. I think the unobstructed view from our room was more magnificent than from many of the other, much higher priced, hotels we saw in town. It does have a very narrow driveway by US standards but that is was makes the place so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was awesome and really far better then we could have anticipated. The hosts, Marco and his wife were extremely gracious and helpful. At the top of the driveway is the main street of Grindelwald with everything you need.
all reviews » Family run establishment in a great location - it's less than a 10 min walk to the train station. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. I was pretty jet lagged when I got there, and was glad to get a good night's rest. There's a dining area where you can make coffee/tea, or just sit at the table. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in our booking. This is great value for money. It was my first ever visit to Switzerland, and I'm glad I stayed here!. Lehmann's was an ideal spot for hiking-skiing in grindelwald. The proprietor Francie and her lovely family went out of their way to be welcoming and friendly. The location was perfectly situated right on the mountain a short walk from train. I would highly recommend to solo or group travelers who want to spend their vacation outdoors exploring. The rooms are small, simple and suited to a their purpose as an affordable place to sleep. The location was perfect, and just tucked away from the main road. It felt like a comfortable swiss chalet. We woke up in the middle of the mountains. It was next to Espresso Cafe, a great option for happy hour. It was very cozy and comfortable. Our hosts provided a fantastic breakfast in their adorable cafe room. They let us check in early, even though it was unannounced. A lovely family run guest house in a wooden building with an amazing mountain view and just seconds walk from the main bars and restaurants of Grindlewald. 5 minutes to the station too. Comfortable beds, warm room and although the bathrooms were shared, there were three to choose from - all spotlessly clean and a basket of clean towels to help ourselves. Breakfast was OK. This is a family run business with a darling family. Their breakfast is really great! BEAUTIFUL view from our room. Definitely worth the money. Well kept. Located near a grocery store and plenty of (expensive) restaurants. Its just a short walk from the train station (look for the sign on the right side of the road) and lots of cool hikes. For me I like the landscape, personal,convenient location for the centre city and good for heating, it is always open. The breakfast is very good and I had much choice. I was in troubleI, but Fränzi and Marco helped Me. They are very wonderfull and very confortable for Me. Very friendly staff. Cute old house with incredible views across the valley to the Eiger. Cosy and budget friendly (for the area). Breakfast is lovely. Very, very friendly owners. Since we left so early we couldn't have breakfast, they prepared an awesome packed lunch for us. Needed more outlets in the room to charge all our electronics but when asked the hosts helped us out. Bathrooms are common between units (no bathrooms in the unit). There is one on each floor, and this worked fine during our stay. But you might have to wait in line if all rooms are full. We would have added another day if we could!. They only accept cash for payment. The ceiling in the shower is slanted, leaving little head room in the shower. This is an old house - headroom in the top floor and the bathrooms isn't great. The driveway is not very wide!. One bathroom was very cramped with low shower ceiling but worked out okay. Had access to second br which was fine. Bedroom furniture was a little beat. Better bath towels and bed pillows would be nice. This wouldn't stop me from returning. Maybe the room was a little tight for 6 adults!. No night life. People might be a bit disappointed by the rooms, but given the price (very low for this area), it was well worth it. Low ceiling in the shower. The WIFI always interrupted. double wooden beds are uncomfortable and doesnt have enough space between two beds, i.e. your head will hit the upper bed easily. The parking was very difficult, thank God the owner did help us. the room is to tiny, and not really comfortable. Better for couple of friends. This room is too small.
