This modern hostel is set in the cellar of a 17th-century building in Stockholm’s historic Old Town, 7 minutes’ walk from the Royal Palace. It offers free WiFi, dormitory rooms and a communal, well-equipped kitchen. Highly vaulted ceilings with fresh, white walls are featured in each room at Old Town Hostel. I stayed at this hostel for 3 night. the room was really clean and large enough, nice design and really quiet. free internet, free coffee. stuffs are really nice and kind,so helpful and friendly. other customers are also friendly.:) it is located in Gamla Stan ,i think easy to find from the subway station. I reccomend this hostel if you have any plans to stay in stockholm. I defenitely coming back my next trip to stockholm.
all reviews » Very nice hostel in a unique type of building. The room was quite comfortable and the lockers were quite secure. Very good, powerful showers and free Internet in the lobby and free wifi all over.Location is excellent, right in the heart of Gamla Stan area and next to a fantastic Irish pub called Wirstroms. Reasonably priced too so it was excellent overall. Staff were just amazing - Didn't get his name but really helpful when my friend had a problem and really nice. It is cheap! Which is a major bonus in Stockholm, also clean, despite what other reviews say, it was as clean as any other hostel i've stayed in (and better than others). And of course, good location. Old Town was very cozy. I thought it was really cool how the hostel was underground. I came late after check in, the reception was cool about it. Clean faclitiies and comfortable bed. Definitely would stay there again my next trip to Stockholm. Its in the Old Town which is full of tourist-y shops and sites. Old town hostel is really awesome!! Staffs there are very nice and the room is very clear. Even include a sharing kichen and several public PC for using! I like this atmosphere although not so many people here during winter time.Any way..Highly recommend!!. everything was excellent. the shower very good. the room very good. the kitchen very good. very clean and the location could not be better. the guy in reception very polite and handsome. very cool place. i will return there if going to stockholm again. Great and friendly staff, nice little room etc. But yeah, if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in the center of Stockholm this is a place for you!. I spent just one night there and there wasn't any problems and everything was comfortable. Some sightseengs and souvenire shops are really close and it didn't take me a lot of time to do some shopping and to walk a little. The situation. It is in the middle of the city. The atmosphere was very good, with others groups of friends. As always, the shared kitchen and the free pasta is a good thing that make your trip cheaper and easier. Location is perfect! it's 3-4 minutes from the nearest station. The hotel is in the old town, so we enjoyed walking around the area. This hostel is underground,so Wi-Fi connection is not really good. but there are free PC for internet,and also you can use your phone or electronic devices outside! because Gamla Stan is such a beatiful place :). Kitchen closes at 10... Some rooms are very tiny others are a nice size but none with windows. Small number of bathrooms but despite hostel being fully booked there weren't queues so it wasn't a problem. There was some mix up with my booking that meant I had to check out every morning and re-check in- but as I said guy who worked there was lovely so it wasn't too much of problem. Unfortunatly the three young Japenese guys living in the 4-bed room with me are so noisy and keep talking untill 2 o'clock in mid-night! That was really annoying!. everything were just fine. The bathroom/toilet was a bit small. All the hostel is under the floor so there are not good ventilations. The roof height is very small, and, for example the roof of the toilets is about 1.90 so if you are taller than that, you may feel uncomfortable there. The only big problem that I think that this hotel has is the poor ventilation and the short roof. It would be better if there were more cups in the kitchen. Rooms were too warm. Noise from next-door rooms (use ear-plugs). Two things that weren't exactly problems for me during my stay but as a heads-up: found some bed bugs and the lockers. For instance, I stayed in a 6-bed room and there was only 4 lockers and two were broken. I quite disliked the "bring your own bed linen" policy as well. storage space was broken. n/a. You must hire bedding unless you have your own, maybe a moot point but I think it should be clearer on the website, it's a great hostel, and I would stay again without hesitation... ...it is just that one fixed price is easier to work with, otherwise it turns out like Ryanair!. until i found blood stains on the pillow and pretty fresh, good moods was dead a little. The kitchen must be open from 7.00, i waited till 7.45, but it was closed. So i left the hostel without my food, which i had left in the kitchen fridge :(. Nothing really, except there is no windows at all. Too few mirrors in ladies bath (only one). Toilet is not enough just 2 for 1 stair about 15 rooms. nothing. Sadly no wifi in our room, however acces in common area. Could do with lockable storage under beds?!. lockers in the room need to be improved. no wifi in the kitchen. Nasty smell in the bathroom. Not enough bathrooms for everyone. One shower without curtain. no windows. Maybe the bed is not fastness. The bathroom a little to low for a tall guy like me. Only two toilets available for men, one of which was rather unclean. No windows, not only in the bedrooms but also in all the other common rooms. In the girl bathroom, one shower doesn't have a curtain and most of the time there was no toilet paper. Toilet and showers were tiny not very social no alcohol it was very hot. Lockers in my room were all out of order, and the lamp of my bed was too. Too few toilets for so many rooms. small room, no electrical outlet for upstairs bed. When we arrive they asked us for 5€ to the sheets rental, which was acceptable. However it is forbidden sleeping bags which give you no choice than pay the 5€. It should be then on the total price and not like this. Also it's forbidden to drink inside the hostel. In a city that you can't drink outside and expensive as Stockholm it is not very nice. Kitchen is closed from 10pm til 7 am, would like to be able to use the fridge at least. No tv room, no games room... poor wifi and mobile network. only 3 hours for checking-in. if you missed it you may check you e-mail and you could find codes to get in. At the beginning it' hard to fit to the strange opening times (check- in closes at 6 pm, kitchen closes at 10 pm) but staff is very helpful and friendly even if you miss the correct time. Saw bed bugs on the bed. Not a good sign. There was always a line for the bathroom, and the laundry was a nightmare. Also the beds were not very comfortable and there was nothing organized at the hostel to help with your stay in the city, no phone, no help with tours or anything. 75% of the lockers are broken or the electronic lock is not functioning. Seems the Management of the hostel is not interested to make good! Cooking facilities insufficient. The nice thing about hostels is always meeting people from different places in the lounge or the designated common area. Old Town only provides a kitchen, which makes it really hard to meet people when you are alone there. The rooms are very small and if you have a lot of luggage it might be hard to fit your belongings in the lockers provided. The shower area is very small as well and sometimes you have to wait to go to the toilet because there are only two available for guests. Small rooms Uncomfortable toilet and shower Bed linen is paid and not cheap. No windows so the rooms get stuffy. Beware, they tell u there is a problem with credit card machine and You have to pay with cash. I dont believe there is n e problem but that is how they keep the cost down.

You can rent them on site or bring your own. Sleeping bags are not permitted. For non-refundable rates, the guest's credit card is charged at the time of booking.
