Spacious. Kitchen modern and complete regarding all our needs--- came with clean and complete dining set, cookware, etc. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, water pot, toaster stove all worked great. Internet access was fast and reliable. Air conditioning worked great. Great access to Barri Gotic area and nightlife, and the night/bar crowd noise was not a problem or too loud, unless the windows were open. Building had secure code-entry and felt reasonably safe. Sleeping space was adequate. B.
all reviews » Everything was good, location is exellent (on the main street of Barcelona), balcony is a great plus. Somebody said that it is a too much noise from the street, but if you close all the windows - there is no noise. If I will be in barcelona next time, i will stay in this appartment. It was spacious and clean with helpful staff, and right in the heart of old Barcelona. Couldn't have been more convenient. In between 2 metro stops, so everything else is within reach. Location, comfort of the apartment, modern furniture, cleanness, staff very friendly and efficient. All was very good, we made a right choice to stay in your place. Great thanks!. Excellent location and friendly staff. Street runs directly on to La Rambla, very central. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Very comfortable beds, even the trundle. We stayed in a top floor duplex. Very comfortable and spacious. Full equipped kitchen and trendy decoration. Very big double bed. Big terrace. One step to plaza real. Huge !. The size was great for a family with 2 teenage children and the apartment kitchen was well equipped. The contemporary design of the apartment was fantastic. New and accesses to common needs - restaurants, trains, taxis, shopping, etc. Location was very convenient to Las Ramblas, Barceloneta and James 1 Plaza. The location was great. Perfect location just 1 minutes from the ramblas. Great and beautiful appartement!. 1) There were large cockroaches in the apartment that came out at night. This was most unpleasant part. 2) Elevator was VERY small and slow. Family needed to go up in multiple trips. No more than 2 (skinny) adults could comfortably fit, or 1 adult w 2 kids. 3) Couch could have been cleaner, but it was "clean enough". Felt like typical furniture at a basic "suite" style hotel. Not a huge minus. 4) Additional towels and toilet paper for multiple day stay would have been nice. We never figured out the AC -- could have been broken -- but the weather was so pleasant we just opened the windows and were fine. Glad we had ear plugs for the street noise from 11 p. to 1 a., though!. Door key was a real pain. There were 4 of us and on 2 occasions we needed to get reception to come and open our door after 4 of us trying. No soap, shampoo, conditioner or hairdryer provided. Although on 2nd floor, quite a noisy location. No heating in the flat...we freezed to death until they put 24 hours later a small portable heater who allows some degrees more but still very uncomfortable unfortunately. We did not realise we could not park in front to unload our cases until we arrived. This would be very difficult for a family with younger children. The lift was a little inconvenient with only allowing one person and one suitcase at a time. The noise of the jack hammers every morning at 8AM (out of your control) The front door of the building being off its hinges for the first night we were there (repaired the next day ). Noise on a Saturday night. Blocked bathroom shower but they got a plumber immediately. Maybe lack of ventilation, air stuffy sometimes. None. Acces with children very dificult, impossible to park near de hotel at least to unload the luggage. quite noisy from the street during the night. No cleaning on a daily basis. 1) Restricted timing on reception/help 2) newly renovation with the access very difficult to locate 3) stuck in a VERY small elevator for 1.5 hours at 7am in the morning with no help which costed me to lose 300 Euros on VAT reutrn as I barely make it for my flight - the hotel didn't even offer any compensation but a possible reduction in rental fee if I were to book them again... The staff at check in and follow up with supplying the apartment with simple necessities such as adequate personal soap, towels without stains, dishwashing soap. The main door to the building was broken and left wide open for two days, which made us feel very unsafe. Adequate efforts to get it fixed were weak at best. The hygenie was terrible. They don't change sheets and towels. You need to pay 5 euros for sheets and 3 euros for a towel. I saw many ants and bugs in the room.
