The Patio Hostel, 400 metres from Bratislava's Old Town, offers a 24-hour front desk, free internet PCs and free coffee and tea. Private parking in the courtyard is available for an extra charge.

A bit noisy and without private bathroom. it was very noisy, with people drinking all through the night, including in the rooms and in the halls and common areas. the beds were very uncomfortable and the shower was located in the same area as the toilet, allowing no privacy (e.g. no room to change privately and people using the room while you're showering). The rooms were not clean and the heaters made a hissing noise all night. Surroundings: horrible; check-in: extremely long and they get unnecessary personal private data; rooms: empty, dirty and you have to make your own bed (besides, the drapes were too short for the bed); bathroom: shared for many rooms and very dirty (cleaned once a day); quality/price: you pay for a hotel and they provide less services than a common youth hostel; breakfast: not included.

The closest restaurant is a pizzeria next to the Patio Hostel. Fast food restaurants are just around the corner. Many good restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. In some of them you can get a discount when you show our hostel card.

Information about the area
What to see?
Castles... plenty in Slovakia, two in Bratislava. The one in the center "Bratislava Castle" is perfect to have a view over the city. The second one "Devín" with Roman roots is located just near the border with Austria (west of Bratislava).
All churches, monuments, statues, museums and curiosities (like "Čumil") could be found in the Old town just within walking distance.
If you're a history fan you shouldn't miss the St.Martin's Cathedral where coronation of Hungarian kings (including Maria Theresia) took place for about 300 years! The Art Nouveau lovers must see "The Little Blue Church" and its surroundings.
And of course they're plenty of post-communist "remains" in the city. For example "Novy Most" - new bridge with UFO tower, the largest "block" area in Slovakia (on the other side of Danube river) and many more.
Nightlife
You must experience nightlife while you're in Bratislava:) Plenty of clubs like "Charlies" which is just across the street or "Cirkus Barok" - disco on an anchored ship on the Danube river.
Check "Aligator" club for a rock style or "Smirnoff" if you prefer club music.

Shopping Info:
Most shops in the city center are open from 9.00 to 18.00 (Monday-Friday), 9.00 to 13.00, 14.00 (Saturday), some of them are open on Sunday afternoon. The shopping malls are open 7 days a week, most of them between 9.00 to 21.00

- Get off at Trnavske Myto (15 stops, 23 minutes)
- Change for tram 14 in the direction of Nam. L. Stura
- Get off at Marianska (3 stops)
- Walk about 100 metres further towards the city centre.
The hostel is on your right, in the courtyard between the pizza restaurant and the kiosk.
From the main railway station (6 minutes):
- Take the tram 13 in the direction of Nam. L.Stura
- Get off at Vysoka (4 stops)
- Walk back about 50 metres and turn right onto Marianska street.
- At the end turn right again to Spitalska street
- The hostel is on your right, in the courtyard between the Pizza restaurant and the kiosk.
From the Petrzalka railway station (10 minutes):
- Take the bus 80 in the direction of Kollarovo nám.
- Get off at the last stop, Kollarovo nám
- Walk straight to Marianska street. At the end turn right into Spitalska street.
- The hostel is on your right, in the courtyard between the Pizza restaurant and the kiosk.
From the Mlynske Nivy bust station (3 minutes)
- Take the trolleybus 202 or 205 in the direction of Rajska
- Get off at the last stop, Rajska
- Walk around Coffee&Co, Charlie Club and cross the street.
