This hotel has an excellent location in pleasant and prosperous Amsterdam Zuid, close to the Concertgebouw. Posh shops and restaurants as well as an affordable supermarket are close by. Amsterdam's historic center and major museums are easily reachable by public transportation. The hotel itself is in a quiet street and has a pleasant and competent staff. Our room was well equipped, and had access to a shared balcony. The rates are very reasonable by A'dam standards.
all reviews » I loved the location, private bathroom and room size. It was walking distance to the museums, public transportation to the airport and other areas was around the corner from the hotel. The rooms were clean, bathrooms as well, cable television and heating. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.Quite location next to the tram station easy to get to the center use bus 197 to get back to the airport . the rooms are small but clean and very warm. free speed wi fi Im sure will come back next time. The location was great, close to transit and museum. Great room for the price. The WiFi signal was great. Value for the Money is great. I will be returning here on my next trip to Amsterdam. The position. we stayed in a double room wich was large enough for both of us and our one suitecase, the shower was on the small side but manageble. hte room was clean though could do with some fresh paint on the walls maybe. the free wifi worked great, we didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that. location wise it's a bit out of the center but there are a few trams in the area which go to the centre in about 10-15 min, we walked from the hotel to dam square which took us around 20-30 min. overall a . Not city center which we liked because it was quiet, but requires spending money on a cab to get to city center or a 30 min walk. We had very soft mattresses with high cushions. Some of the staff had poor mastery of Dutch language (this won't be an issue for international travelers though). Faced some problems with rooms cardlocks, though staff solved them immediately. A little hard to find out. Breadfast is just ok, too simple. One of curtain hooks was off. My credit card didn't work for booking so I had to change times in China to work it out. At last I paid cash ! no idea the problem is from my card or hotel pos. Bed is a bit too soft, but it's personal preference. Shared balcony with another room. nothing negative. It was EXTREMELY noisy during both nights of our stay : doors banging, elevator, people talking and laughing loud... Breakfast was very poor and too expensive : hot beverages were not even real ones, only one kind of juice, plastic glasses (how can that be ?), not very much choice for the food... wifi is through a hotspot and slow. very soft mattress in the bed breakfast scope rather limited. The B04 room has not the possibility to open the window, and is connected to the downstair breakfast room. At the early morning is quite noisy due to the guests having breakfast. No air conditioning and the room was stuffy. The room was small which really wasn't that bad, however the walls were paper thin and you could hear noise from the other rooms. Despite our request at time of reservation, we were not given a room with separate beds. This was corrected after we complained. Mattresses are exceedingly soft. And beware, stepping in and out of the bathtub can be a dangerous exercise! One of our neighbors on the floor was very loud. I also think that reception staff should be fluent in Dutch. The staff was not particularly cheerful. No help was offered and no greetings when passing by the reception. I stayed at the B04 room. it was terrible! I wasn't feel comfortable, the room has no windows to open and no fresh air in the room. because of that reason if you are going to stay in that hotel please emphasized that not to stay at B04 room. price was too expensive for a hotel like that. Small rooms, no tea and coffee faclities in room, no lounge. poor breakfast. Room are very noisy because the wall between rooms are to tinny. Outrageously expensive. shower did not work properly. Maybe it is because of we asked for room at the same day with sensation white party I paid almost 200 Euro for one night. Normally, It worth only fifth the price. Hard to find, better give priority to divulgate easier ways to get to the hotel. Dirty carpets No drawers 3 coat hangers in very small wardrobe. The location of my room was near the passage to the smoking area. Noissy Absolutely too expensive. Horrible quality compared to the rate.
