This capsule hotel was really nice from the second I arrived. The staff were friendly and greeted me with a smile. The facilities were really good and the capsules were more like rooms with flat screen tv's and a queen single bed in them. Very spacious and comfortable for a "capsule". The location was excellent being located 2mins walk from Namba-nankai station and 5 mins walk from jr Namba station meaning it was very accesible from the airport. It's attached to the Namba Subway Station, and within a 5-10 minute walk from stations with direct trains to Nara, Mt Koya, etc. The accommodation is surrounded by shops and eateries, across the road from arcades and a 5 minute walk from a couple of lovely shopping centres and awesome Dotonbori. While the bedroom was small, it had everything I needed - a large bed, flatscreen tv (pay to use) and storage space. There was a computer (Y100/15 mins), Japanese-st. We travelled as a couple and stayed in two sepparate capsules (just to get the feel of a capsule hotel). Women's site: Very clean with lots of useful things such as hairbrush, toothbrush, bath sponge, slippers, etc. The shared bathroom and spa is very clean as well. All the neighbors are respectful and quiet, except the morning rush hour at 5.30 when every body leaves. After that it's quiet again. Men's site: clean, with lots of things such as a pijama, slippers, toothbrush, etc. The location!. The location was superb! I was in Osaka on the day first and stayed here for one night, and I came back to the same hotel due to the fact that it was very easy to access and convenience too!! I put all my gadget on the table without having to worry about it being stolen. And to top it all, it was a really value for money stay, as i ended up staying there for another 3 more days! The only thing I didn't like about this place was that through out the night you can tend to hear people walking up and down the hall or people in other capsules snooring. Also I had someone accidently walk into my capsule at 3am which also woke me up. Another thing is that the staff can't really speak English which doesn't bother me as I can speak Japanese but for anyone else it could be difficult. Next to no soundproofing in the rooms. This isn't too much of an issue because all rooms are in a designated silent area (there's a lounge and phone room for talking). However, one day I did wake up at 6:30 when someone's alarm went off nearby. Nothing!. Although the room is not lockable, the overall facilities was great. Only that we are not allowed to talk while we are in the cabin. They have designated area to answer phone calls, which a little far at the end of the building. We can even hear our neighbour snoring like a hibernating giant next door, but it was fine with me. Only that I have to delicately packed my stuff and try not to make so much noises as it was a very, very quiet environment within the cabin area. Nothing really, maybe apart from the locks used to store your valuables in. Since those cabins have no keys, this is the only way to make sure your stuff is sound & safe while you're away. I'd recommend another type of locks / keys to use ( ie. Electronic pads, etc.). Men and women are separated so this may not be great for couples. Also locked drawers provided in the capsules could be updated with computerized locking systems as opposed to using bulky keys. An ice machine would be a great addition. But overall the cons are miniscule compared to pros!. Even if I'm a smoker and you can smoke only in the smoking area, the elevators and the bar smell incredibly of smoke. You should get a pair of earplugs at reception,it is free of charge.Cuz the noise insulation is not very good. Anyway,it doesnt bother me cuz i was so tired and easily fell asleep. No lock on the capsule door! The hotel shoud advertise which exit we should look for when one comes out of the train station. The room doesnt have a door,but of course,its a capsule. So in the late night there were new people checking in,so made lots of noise. Bed a little bit too small (but i'm 1.86m...not really the average size of a japanese) The light coming in from the window if you're in a "cube" close to it. Smells smokey in some places, E.G. when you entry the cabin area. No lockers for backpacks. You can leave it either at the reception (other floor) or in your cabin, which has no lock. For valuables and some clothes there's a convenient sized lockable draw under your bed though. There is no room in the shower to put your dry clothes. the showers are shared, not individual (I'm ok with that, but wasn't expecting it), you can hear everything from the other cabins. WC were only two on fourth floor. We need to go to 6th floor for a shower. But considering the price and location it was worth it. the place is not sound proof, the fact that you can't lock your door, floor space a little too small to open your luggage. A bit noisy at night, due to not so good of the sound-proof!. Everything was fine! No complaints at all. No snack machine. Got hungry late at night and I had to leave the hotel to grab a nibble. Non, that's what I don't like. 1) No private shower room. 2) Nearly midnight, hearing someone with high heel or boots walking around... kind of disturbing. I'm not sure if the noise was from the customers or from the staffs (as they are wearing high heel while walking around the cabin). Nothing, everything above expectation. The staff is fair, but they don't give any information of the neighborhood. They even don't have any map of the city... The cabins are open on top so you can hear everything thats going on(phone ringing all night). door unable to lock. female no cubical bath room. The bed was hard as rock. It's plastic futon. no sunlight at all - dont know what's happening outside; Snoring sleepers. Nothing I didn't like. none. Choice of films. Poor sound insulation. A bit noisy. exit. Shower room is so so.
