The hotel is in an extremely good location--easy access to the train station and restaurants. The staff were very helpful as described in other customer comments. The hotel and its rooms are extremely safe as they are behind several entrances and on the third floor (with an elevator). Single women travelers would love the security offered here. The breakfast was excellent--the best we had.
all reviews » Hotel Angelica is situated near the main railway station and also near to the center of Florence. I have found this perfect position very comfortable. The owners are friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The rooms are clean, comfortable attached with an excellent bathroom and shower. Breakfast is plentiful and included in room price. A real family atmosphere.This was a family run hotel and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They were knowledgeable of Florence and were very helpful - booked us a meal on our first night. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. It was very close to the rail station for those arriving by train (or on a transfer from airport). The hotel was excellently positioned and the staff were the friendliest we've had on our whole trip. We would definetly recommend this hotel to anybody who's looking for somthing central (around the corner from the train station) and clean. Thanks Fernando for the best time in Florence. I can't believe that this place only has 2 stars. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. It even has a flatscreen TV in the room. The place looked very new. Location was also very close to the station and Duomo. We liked everything. Very quiet even though SMN station is within a one minute walk. Friendly staff, elegantly served buffet breakfast, clean. If we go to Florence again, we will stay in Angelica. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find once you left the train station. No. All was fine.Traffic noise in the street. - The phone into the bedroom could work normally, especially to receive simple phone call, it's basic! - It's indispensable that the hotel accepts payment by credit card, like is indicated in the Booking - my card was refused, because "the system was very busy"... but they didn't even try to use it!. The bathrooms are quite small. No Internet facilities available at the time of our visit. No Security Box, fridge or (plastic) cups supplied in our room. There was was noise from the street below. Pillows were a little old and flat.Limited number of breakfast tables. No internet access at all.The coffee in particular and the breakfast in general could have been better. We were in this hotel in the beginning of February and the nights were still very cold. However, the central heating was swithched on only in the evenings and mornings. We were freezing in the night.the roof top terrace hugely overstated.breakfast not exceptional. It's not cheap for the very basic condition you get and the building is quite old. The elevator is small.Excessive street nois at times dring night.
