I had a delightful single room with a beautiful view of the mountains of the Killarney National Park. The town, train station and park were all within an easy walking distance. The owners of the B & B were very pleasant and helpful whenever needed. The included breakfast was delicious and a perfect way to start a day of exploring Killarney and the surrounding area! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and plan to do so if I am ever in the area again!.
all reviews » The location was excellent. Quiet, away from road noise. There was a lovely garden. Breakfast was good.with lashings of bacon and toast. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very good dinner out only about 3 minutes walk from the Gardens. very friendly helpful staff/owners.Clean, close to town but still secluded, ideal for touring Kerry and surrounding area. I hope to return next year and would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to friends. Great Breakfast. Excellent breakfast, the proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Very clean. We will definitely be back to stay in The Gardens. it's really close to the city center, the staff was nice, the room and facilities were really good taking into account the price also. With this facility you get what you pay for. The cost is modest, but so is the facility. Location is great for walking everywhere in Killarney. The owner and his natural friendliness. Great location and friendly staff. There was not one thing that I did not like. There was not a grab trail in the shower. And the shower was not very powerful...but was adequate. IOt wopuld have been useful to have wi-fi available in the room, not just the lounge. nothing. Nothing. I found two spiders on the top of the roof and i had to remove it by myself before going to sleep. the only tiny thing was was that we had no hot water in the shower for a while. My stay was too short. Nothing!. no wifi in rooms, that would have been ok if the lounge area with reception had been opened before 8 am in the mornings. I had to sit out in the garden to send and receive emails!! Travellers have things to do, places to go and 8 am is too late to access wifi. Hard to get cars in out of spaces. Came back to the bb late at night and could not get parking.. As the weather was extremely hot and our rooms faced the west found it very hard to sleep. Rooms can be a little noisy. Getting out the car park onto main road. pubs can be a bit jointed. nothing. nothing. The entrance to the B&B given the volume of traffic. driveway. nothing. shaving ie mirror only average. We had a room with a view on other guests' cars parking in front of the garden. It would be nicer if people who do not have a car (like us) would get a room with view on the beautiful garden. No problems. This facility could use some updating. The showers barely dribble. Although the cost was modest, I think we could have done better elsewhere. The overall sense of damp; the wishing that the Hotel Inspector would visit this B&B and move it into the 21st centuryt; the coldness in the en-suite; the tiny size of the single room; the difficulty in moving around the positioning of the furniture in the room- ie the spectacularly small wardrobe blocked any use of the absolutely miniscule dressing table and mirror. The double bed was really uncomfortable and the water pressure in the shower was non existent.
