Really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the accommodations were great for our family of four. We stayed two nights and breakfast each morning was fantastic. The location couldn't be better. A two minute walk to the city center and all the shops, pubs, and restaurants - yet set back in a neighborhood where it was quiet and relaxing. Parking was plentiful which was a plus (not having to use a space in town). And Killarney was an awesome place to stay a couple of days during our vacation.
all reviews » I got a teriffic Kerry welcome with my family. The proprietor could not have been more helpfull she even supplied my daughter with a hair straightner! Was very accomodating to last minute booking changes where I requested extra accomodation at very short notice. Fabulous relaxed breakfast with no urgency at all put on the party of 8 of us to move along. Excellent service with beautiful full Irish breakfast with everyone's needs accomodated. Great value for money. Will certainly go back!. It was in a very good location just minutes from all the shops and pubs. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was cooked fresh for each individual person. The rooms were comfortable. I couldn't fault this lovely B&B. Excellent location in Killarney. There was nothing I didn't like!. nothing, it was all good. Just a reminder tea and coffee facilities are downstairs, not in your own room. No problem as long as you know that. I found it a bit cold in the room and I think the continental breakfast could have a few more options but I must add that the brown bread was delicious. would have loved a kettle in the room but gusest sitting room has tea and coffee facilities so it was grand. No issues. The smoker's chair under the eaves which meant the smoke came straight up and into the upstairs windows. Only downside we found was they didn't have highchair for our daughter which made it very awkward at breakfast each morning. Would have been lot better for us if had access to highchair. Cannot access to wifi in room. Shower had low water pressure. There was hand soap but no shampoo - Breakfast was early (before 10am). Low water pressure and not enough warm water for two showers. No chance to have a late tea, no cooker in room and lounge was LOCKED later in the evening???? would have enjoyed sitting in lounge to recap travelling day with a tea but this wasn't possible. The WLAN-signal was very weak in our room (No. 1, first floor). We had to go downstairs for a stable wireless-connection. Payment by card is not accepted. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. All good. At least our room required some refreshment but overall everything was fine. tea making facilities were in lounge and not in room. To us the house was hard to find with no street numbers. Not a lot. Nothing, everything great. Tried to shower at 8AM and was on the very top floor...NO HOT WATER AT 8AM!!! Booked a Quad Room however they put us in 2 different rooms (2 ppl/room). Top Floor Room didn't have a TV, Hairdryer, OR Tea Kettle like the other 2nd Floor room had!!!. No pudding for breakfast - odd Thin walls Grubby bathroom compared to bed room. the fact that your representative put us there because our original booking could not accommodate a change, and she described it as "equal".... far from it. Cold reception, no hot water on second morning, no wonder it was available - not a good recommendation at all.... !!!!. We had made a reservation via letsbookhotel.com but the accomodation was over booked. The only room available was an attic with 3 single beds in it and two flap-windows without any view, only sky. There was nothing else in the room. It was very hot in the room. But we payed the price of a normal room. Dirty No staff around No welcome or info about place Dirty sheets No wifi as advertised No coffee/tea as advertised Only 2 towels for 4 people No toilet tissue No soap.
