The whole ambienceof the Hotel appealed to me, I really enjoyed a bite to eat and a few drinks in the bar, I thought it was very cosy and comfortable. The friendliness of staff,the very good menu,and a very competative bar price.I had to book this hotel at short notice and arrived late in the evening. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was warm, quiet and very comfortable - exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Ease of booking, good car parking, location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, ease of arrival formalities. Very friendly receptionist when we arrived. It is in a brilliant location right near the city centre, also the leisure club was fantastic. Nice and quiet, lovely room, comfortable bed. good sized rooms and en suites. The food was delicious. Clear, comfortable. Thought the sun terrace was a nice touch. Nice bar, spacious room, good entertainment. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. The waitingon staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. The reception staff werealso receptive to our comments.The Leisure Centre. I would have liked to have bought breakfast with the room, yet online it was not available. Everything about the hotel though was excellent.breakfast a bit expensive. Was not impressed with food at dinner. Receptionist as we left never asked if we had any problems or if we enjoyed our stay, or thanked me as I was leaving. We booked two rooms for the one night. However one of the rooms did have a smell in it and there was a room freshener spray plugged into the wall to try to freshen it up but it had little effect.A little distant from the centre of Cork, though well conected by the Nos 7 and 8 bus route. Room was quite noisy - at front of building close to entrance. Smokers congregating at front and chatting etc until very late. This woke me up. Also taxis/cars etc arriving at and departing from hotel contributed to the noise levels.Lighting in bedroom / bathroom - had to switch on bedroom lights for bathroom light to work; fittings in bathroom - e.g. missing toilet roll-holder. staff messed up booking a little so it took a while to book in. The bathrooms really below par..tiny and basic compared to rest of the gorgeous room. A lot of wine not available as they had run out (forgotten to order).no air conditioning, as not hot this wasn't a problem, but would have been otherwise as windows opened only a little and then there was noise from local stadium - our trip co-incided with Jay-z, tho not hotel's fault!. The matress on the bed could have been better quality. Paid Internet, a bit difficult to find (no house numbers). Price was quite expensive becasue it did not include breakfast.Wasn't convenient for city centre. The staff were very inexperienced. On check in they couldnt find our reservation and gave us somebody elses room, after 20 mins they found it but told us keep the room they had assigned to us.The receptionist very rude. The room was incredibly hot, it felt like we were located over a boiler.Unable to dry hair properly as the socket was too far away from themirror to see. The carpet had a suspicious stain on it and smelt. Nolock on bathroom door. Woodwork stained from tea/coffee splashes and notcleaned from previous guests.Housekeeping only came in once to clean, the only changes the towels and made the bed. Coffee had been spilt on the bed and instead of changing the duvet cover they turned it upside down so you wouldn't see until you got into the bed, They didn't replinish toilet roll, clean cups, coffee etc.
