The room was beautiful with a great view overlooking the bay. It was a large room with a seating area, comfortable double bed and a balcony - all very tastefully furnished. The bathroom was spectacular - sunken enormous bath with a large shower fitting suspended from the ceiling all set against a full height window about 6 foot wide with a view of the mountains and bay. The hotel room is clean and spacious - I booked for a room with garden view but when I checked in after 7pm, the hotel is kind enough to upgrade me to a room with seaview. I personally loved the bathroom equipped with shower and a big bath tub. Worth to mention is there are two showers - one on the ceiling and the other on the wall. Bed was comfortable. Staff are friendly and approachable, when inquired on directions, they are helpful. Overall, a perfect hotel to s. The service was amazing. Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Beautiful room - the decor was stunning,and very well appointed, Hotel is in beautiful peaceful area, and there is a local minimart nearby which has everything you could possibly want and plenty of eateries around hotel if you like to dine out. Didnt eat in but lovely breakfast available with much choice( I was on a night stopover) Pool not open yet as it's only still a very new hotel, but that didnt worry me. I'll def. Nearby is a small shopping center with a supermarket, restaurants, and a coffee shop, also all very new. If you want to go to Disneyland with your kids, there is a free hotel shuttle, and another one to the pier, from where you can get to the city by ferry. All in all, highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet location in Hong K. We were upgraded to Ocean View Room on high level so we had stunning views both at night and in the morning. Was also pleasantly surprised by how clean and new everything was maintained. Staff were well mannered and very helpful. Exercise and pool facilities were well equipped and made for a complete holiday experience. It was the perfect hotel for a stop-over, close to the airport with a lot of nature around. You still have easy access to downtown Hong Kong via ferry if you want to. Free Shuttle bus to Disneyland very convenient and punctual and journey takes only 15mins. Same for Shuttle bus from and to airport but have to pay at HK35/person. Hotel is walking distance to a lot of hiking spots. It was easy to get around the area as well as travelling to the cbd. Shuttle bus provided by the hotel makes it super convenient as well. Beautiful location with access to a small beach, close restaurants, and a grocery store. Very good facilities, ocean location, easy access to Central and Kowloon by ferry or MTR. The wi-fi code was obtained from reception - a slip of paper with a series of letters and numbers. We didnt realise initially that there is one code per device so if you have a tablet, smart phone and lap top you will need 3 codes. The codes are valid for 24 hours so you need to go through the process daily - very tedious. Nothing. It is a perfect hotel for a gateway. Cant say there was anything I didnt like. I was a bit unsure about how to get to hotel from airport itself, and had to ask at information desk for directions, but all good after that. The air con failed on our second day and despite a quick repair quit again the next day. Maybe still some hiccup during the "soft opening". Buses to the hotel (taxis and private cars are not allowed in Discovery Bay) are not that frequent, so some planning or waiting is required. It's location in discovery bay made it slightly less convenient to travel places (less bus access, longer travel times and higher transport fees - average $70HKD per adult to head into town or airport). No option to book B&B so the breakfast although first class was a bit pricey. Would have been nice to have wifi free inside the rooms. Can't believe this would be that expensive to provide. We liked everything. Nothing. Pool not in use yet as waiting for licence and was missed as there is no public beach. The hotel should provide wifi as discovery bay have wifi coverage. The worst of all is the free wifi at the lobby is only accessible for 2 hours, as for me who always uses wifi for work, I can't afford to go without wifi. The hotel should provide more buses to tsim sha tsui. Nothing at all ;). We werent able to stay longer ... we will be back ... this is now our preferred option for all future trips to HKG. It would be much better if they can increase the free shuttle bus from/to the city centre. The hotel has shuttle busses going to many different places but not the airport. There is an hourly bus service at a quarter to the hour, which we just missed, also you need to pay 35,- pp. It drops you off at the hotel so convenient enough. The time, distance, and inconvenience of getting to and out of Auberge Discovery Bay from the airport. Wifi should be made available in room and free of charge. At the moment, wifi requires one password per device. Junior staff lack experience and are nor very well trained, particularly in the restaurant. The sunken bath takes hours to drain away - a design fault the management may wish to rec tify. The amount of money we pay to stay there they could at least run a free shuttle bus from the airport. They need brochures of what to do in Hong Kong. WiFi public access should be in each room. swimming pool not yet open. The shuttles do not run very frequently. If there is an indoor swimming pool, that will be great for the winter visitors. I didnt like having to leave!!!!!. Pool not open yet. far from downtown, only few restaurant near hotel, free wifi only in the lobby. The pool was not operating during our stay. Dusty glass shelf in bedroom, broken lightbulb that never got fixed, noisy AC system. Nothing. Can't find taxi , MTR far from hotel location. I was reserved in the hotel for 6 days but in the 3th day I chanhe to another hotel because of the transportation, its to hard to get from place to place and there's no taxis there .. no free bus fm/to airport/disneyland. It would be better if hotel shuttle bus could run till late evening. Not a typical, easy access, Airport Hotel that you might expect!! Do not try to get there by taxi ..as they are not allowed in the community! The best way to get there is by ferry from Central in HK.Then take the free community Shuttle Bus from the Ferry landing to the hotel. If landing at hk airport contact the hotel for the Shuttle Stop you need to go to in the arrivals area. Slow check in process, coupled with long wait for room to become available. Poor connectivity from the airport, as DB is a no car zone, airport transfers could be improved. location far from city, the transportation not convenient enough. Hard to get to. Cabs can't go there directly, which means you have to time trips out of Discovery Bay, with the local transport.
