The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially, they allowed us early check-in, as we arrived at the hotel around 8:00 am. The hotel is located next to the Main Train Station, the gathering site of tours, about 15 minutes to the tourism areas, 30 minutes to the centre of downtown. The hotel was newly replenished. The room was very comfortable and quiet. More importantly, the breakfast was very good with many choices.
all reviews » Incredibly kind, attentive and friendly staff. The rooms were gorgeous and very clean in a timely fashion. Everything you needed (ex. an umbrella on a rainy day or dry cleaning) was available without a second thought. The breakfast buffet was exquisite, something you have to see to believe. And the location is unbeatable, just steps from Munich's central Hauptbanhof train station. I will definitely stay here again!. I stayed for only one night but it really made our day. And I can say, during our 12 days trip in different countries and hotels, this is the best ! Nice design and clean bedroom with refreshment ready to use (sweets and water). I would like to praise their excellent buffet breakfast. Comparing the price with the service they offer and the location, I would definitely choose it again if I visit Munich. Really good service! The staff did all they could to make our stay perfect. We had an early check in, a slightly delayed check out, we got two cots provided for free for our twins, they came with full set of bedding, towels, soaps as well as a cuddly toy :-) Really good breakfast buffet. City centre was walking distance approx 10 minutes, rooms were big and airy, bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast had a great selection and staff throughout the hotel were outstanding - very approachable and friendly. I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay again myself. The hotel is very clean. It is located on a quiet street very close to the central train station. It is not more than a ten minute walk to the main shopping area. The breakfast is excellent and starts at six thirty am. Internet connection was good (I used a cable). Bbc world news is the only English speaking channel on tv. I travel to Europe a couple times a year and found the Metropol the best value for the money. But I'd go beyond that. Don't look any further!. Next door to the central train station, this clean and tidy hotel is situated in a fairly central location. It is also about an 8-10min walk to the main shopping areas and close to the underground if you need to hop onto the metro. Staff were excellent - both cheery and helpful. Wonderfully large spacious room, hotel has been modernised, small but modern bathroom, great shower, hotel is in great location minutes from train station, wonderful and plentiful breakfast, sensational staff, hotel entrance very plain but lovely inside. There was no aircon in room, it did not bother us in the 38 deg heat, but it might bother some others, fans available from reception. The price - but as we were there for Oktoberfest, higher prices were to be expected everywhere... We had a wake-up call scheduled on our last day for 3am, call was 30 minutes late. That I only had 1 night to be there!. The water temperature of shower is not consistent. No individual room air conditioning but they did have fans available if needed. Internet was not the fastest and would not connect unless I was standing by the door in our room. Paying for parking.Niets. Everything was great. No tea in the room to use with the machine. Only enough ,ilk for one cup of coffee each left on the tray. No air conditioner, but they did give us a fan. Nothing. It was a little difficult to cool the room off and we were on the ground floor so we could not leave the windows wide open. A fan in the bedroom would have been appreciated for it was very stuffy. A shower curtain or some way to control the water because it soaked the bathroom no matter how careful you were. a little bit slow wifi, lack of air conditioners in some rooms. You have to keep your ski gear in the storage room downstairs for some reason. early check out ...11am. Nothing we didnt like. Some stages at gate & between floors, not convenient with luggage. A slope would be better. Early check out, 11am. The street where the hotel is located is a bit sketchy. But after we had walked around a few times, it seemed perfectly safe. This hotel is not so cost effective. So if you are on your own and want to save money, this may not be the right choice for you. I have booked an advanced doble room but it seemed to me I was provided with similar one on the first floor. It was hard to bring my heavy baggage up with 10 high steps! I asked to change but was declined at the reception. Nothing. The bathroom really needs renewal. Temperature in room difficult to control No lotion supplied in bathroom. Walking to the hotel in the middle of the night from the railway station was a bit scary... I was slightly irritated that, when coming back to the hotel at midnight, my partner (who does not share my name) had been able to get both keys to the room without actually proving that he was staying there. Especially during a time like Oktoberfest, I think the hotel should be taking more precautions. The hotel was expensive for what it is, but I think this was due to Oktoberfest. No AC so left windows open and did hear noise all night. Not too noisy, but street noise especially in the early AM. Wireless was slow.
