staff at the reception were so nice and helpful, check in and check out were fast and smooth. But in my check out bill there was an extra charge for breakfast for two (i never had a breakfast in the hotel ) so when i said it must be a mistake the guy from the reception apologized and remove it from my bill immediately. Rooms has a nice modern design, it's a bit tight though, but good in general, i likes the showers, very good and comfortable design. we booked two rooms with two large double be.
all reviews » Rooms are excellent - large, modern, clean. Bathrooms are small but well designed with rainshower heads and sleek fixtures. Location to prime areas (specifically the main train station and Marienplatz) are very good, but there are many hotels in the area that provide the same locale. Parking is 18 Euro per day but not always available. Food (breakfast especially) is ridiculously overpriced, but makes getting it an easy decision as there are so many breakfast options nearby at a very reasonable . All very impressive! The hotel was very upscale, stylish and clean. The pictures posted on letsbookhotel.com are accurate depictions. Hotel is only about a 30-40 minute train ride from Heathrow airport, then close enough from the central train station to walk to. Staff was very willinging and accomodating to help with any request, from helping me book a train ticket to borrowing an unbrella. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Hotel was very modern, shower super big with pressurised rainfall, plenty of space, 3 elevators, 5 mins walk from the main train station, 15 mins walk to the marienstraus. Located around alot of arab stores but no worrys and strip club around the corner. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was 9 euros per day but we prefered to go to the breakfast restaurant just in front of the hotel the Back werk. Wich was relatively cheaper and very good!!!!. Air conditioned! Very important, as Munich had a heat wave when we were there. Rooms were extremely quiet, as advertised. Excellent location, 10 minute walk from old city. Rooms large and extremely clean and modern. Bathroom and shower facilities were wonderful. In-room wifi was also a plus, and worked well. The staff were extremely helpful, and were outgoing and professional. An excellent end to our 6-week trip!. Overall there are no complaints. Nice staff and rooms were clean,spacious, modern and well maintained. There was even 2 computers in the lift landing of each floor for the customers to use. That prove very useful as I needed to do an online check-in for my flights. The facilities were clean, modern and stylish. The toilet was separate. The shower was walkin and roomy. Room was very quiet with the window closed. The reception and the waiting staff in the breakfast and dining rooms were very helpful and the food was of a high quality. The bed was large and comfortable. Great choice overall 2nd time stay in less than 1 month would be happy to visit again breakfast is great the gym and sauna area is clean and modern . the garage is a plus for people with cars. Parking out side is also available .there are 4 elevators so that's a big plus for a 7 levels hotel BOOK EARLY , YOU'LL BE HAPPY. Staff extremely helpful. Excellent location a couple of blocks from Haupbanhoff and very easy to get everywhere. We even walked to Oktoberfest from the hotel . When I needed help with directions or informantion, the staff was eager to help. I would stay there again and recommend this hotel to others going to Munich. The rooms were new and very modern. The bath and shower area was very nice. The rain shower plus wand attachment was a great touch. The room was attractive and spacious, and had 2 closets which was great. This hotel has the best location as it is very close to the central station, as well as being not far of the city center. It is located in a street with some close resturants and shops. The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable and well decorated. Staff are very helpful and breacfast is very good. Great Service and great Staff. Any kind of request was immediately executed and taken care off. To answer the question if I would recommend Munich for travellers? I cant answer this because i dont know what people looking for. But if you travel to Munich I can recommend this Hotel. Stunning, new hotel with very comfortable and modern rooms. Staff were amazing - so friendly and accommodating and spoke many languages. Location good, right by Hauptbahnhoff but have to walk past quite a few sex shops etc to get there. Breakfast was brilliant - so much choice. The proximity to the train was fantastic. Easy to walk to other areas of the city, if you don't mind a little walking, but taxis only a block away. Large room, large modern bathroom facilities.Plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi!. The hotel rooms were well appointed and spacious. Coffee/tea available in the room and fast internet service. Heated towel rack didint work but thats not a real problem!. The only possible thing I can think of, and this is very minor, is that there is no business center for printing documents, but the staff did this for me by having me email the documents to them and they printed them out--as I said, a very minor inconvenience. I only wish that breakfast was included in the hotel booking. There was not many places to eat breakfast near the hotel. Its worse when there is a public holiday. Even the supermarkets are closed. It happened during our stay. Good thing the eating stores were open at the main train station however one have to stand to eat and if its a very cold day, that was not pleasant. The room looked straight into the offices and workers opposite. Lone traveller may find the streets around the hotel a little intimidating as there are lots of casinos and betting shops situated in the vicinity. The rain did not let up! No fault of the hotel. Price shifting is weird , I would have stayed more than 5 nights that I already booked for almost 40% less per night BOOK EARLY , YOU'LL BE HAPPY. nothing I didnt like. We were near the elevator which was convenient, but made for a few noisy moments. The location of the hotel, which was very convenient to the train station, is in a "less than attractive" neighborhood. We just made sure to walk back and forth from the train station before dark. We couldnt park with our car at the Hotel. We needed to park 1 block away in a public parking garage. I do love to park in the Hotel own garage. Not a bad word to say about the hotel apart from the location near all the sex shops - meant undesirable characters bumbling around at night. While the location is great for train and walking, the area isn't so good; a little rough at night especially. Breakfast was expensive. The restaurant/ bar was smack in the middle of the lobby and relatively small with a very limited menu. The breakfast option (located in a separate area) was the most expensive we encountered at 17 euros/person. The neighborhood was not conducive to walking about at night, no restaurants etc. But in fairness, it is near the train station and an eight minute walk from the old part of Munich. All things being said, we would stay there again. Breakfast a bit pricey at $18 euro a person but lots of variety to choose from. Pricy breakfast (18 euros P.p) Pricy parking 18 euros P.day). Even though parking is free of charge therу are only several parking places operated by the hotel. But it is not a problem- a lot of covered parkings are around the place. Certain roads near the hotel were a bit sleazy but if one knows which one to avoid,there is no problem. But the no issue with these roads. When I check in. There was only one staff. The guest in front of me took a long time, so I just got to wait there forever. I stay alone in a double room. Instead of a big bed, they put two small bed together. Actually, there is nothing I dislike in this hotel. It's a new hotel .Sometimes u can here strange sound from floor.Maybe because wooden floor shrinks. Hotel far too hot, Aircon in the rooms not working at all. Too hot in all public areas, was like living in a sauna!! Rates lifted buy over 300% for the Bauma trade fare, unreasonable. the room switch system takes a little time to understand hotel is located near the adult strip.(which cannot be faulted) the soundproofing is a little lacking. Too many light switches, you need the memory of an elephant to remember which is for which. The sink was seperate from bedroom but still open meaning it is impossible to use it / light it without the whole room being lit. Double bed has two mattresses instead of just one big one. Not a huge deal, but since they're not attached to each other they'd separate during the night and create a gap. Which you imagine is not comfortable. The area in which the hotel is located is not very nice. Lots of shabby bars and sexshops. Fairly close to the Train Station, 15 min walk minimum to the Old City. Nothing. - Expensive breakfast & not inculded in the room rate. The car parking slots are not enough for hotel guests. I had to park somewhere close by, just a hussle when you have luggage and a baby. I would not change anything about this hotel. Everything perfect. We were not able to park at the hotel and had to use the Hotel Cristal parking for 25 Euros for the night. 1-The room was not ready on the check in time, so we had to wait for 2 hours. 2- The concierge had not much information. Airconditioning was having difficulty coping with the hot weather. Make sure to put the "do no disturb" sign if you want to sleep late in the morning because they will knock on the door and open it until they realize that you are asleep. Except being very close to the main train station and to the tents of octoberfest, the streets around the hotel are not attractive. The price for the room was astronomically high the second day due to a conference. Price during the Bauma Fair was very high. Restaurant was a bit too pricey so we chose not to eat there. nothing to declare. The cleaning staff was a bit too noisy around 0800 on Saturday morning. The light switches took some time to learn which light each was operating. They were bunched together and they were all identical in shape and form. Breakfast was costly compared to what you could get close by. The hotel is located a 20 minutes' walk from the Old Town. Driving takes pretty much as long, taking into account the traffic and one-way roads. The lobby and adjacent bar+ restaurant are not very inviting, seem a bit sterile. The restaurant is closed most of the time, food disappointing. But these aspects are not too important considering the overall very positive experience we had at Eurostars Book hotel.
