Fantastic location everything is within walking distance and their are a lot of great restaurants close by. Apartment was clean with good facilities we didn't use the kitchenette but it looked really well equipped. Our train was delayed and we were worried about not being able to checkin but the staff organised for us to pick up the key from a security lock box, thankyou that was so helpful!.
all reviews » There is not a single person nor a reception. It works because of number codes and mobile phone. When you call, the person you are speaking to is very friendly and helpful. The self service equipment is ok. Budget friendliness compared to other hotels in Munich. In other German Cities, like for example Frankfort, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, the price would be much to high. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Munich Apartments'. Apart from the location which is a few minutes walk from a major train station the Isartor. It's a quiet area. The pricing is just great value. It's adequate for my simple needs with free WIFI, a spaceous room even for a single as I requested. I'll be back. Excellent value for money. Small kitchen and a real fridge in my std room. Rooms are clearly cosier than the dark corridors. The hotel is in the city center where you normally pay 2-3 times as much as in Isartor Apts. All places people normally go to are at walking distance. The location was nice and quiet and walking distance from the major Isator train station, the Deutsche museum and some shopping areas. Nice to be able to book it a few days before my stay at a reasonable price when other hotel prices went through the roof seasonally. I'm used to staying in Schwabing - these apartments are very central and a short walk from the Viktualienmarkt. Amazing value for money given what they are and where they are. Lovely spacious rooms with catering facilities - I will most certainly stay here again. Extremely helpful staff. We had to get lost luggage delivered and they were able to deal with it for us so we did not have to wait all day in out room. Perfect location. Away from the busy main area but right next to Sbahn station so quick to get to everything. The location was good, service was fast and polite, and the room was clean (except in the corners, and the kitchenette). The sound insulation was also good, and kept out most noise. Quiet place and big room with lift, 15 minutes walk to Marie plaza and old city, has super market in 5 minutes walk but closed at 20:00, 5 minutes walk to the metro and S tram, 5 minutes walk to Deutschland Meseum. It is 2xsingle beds moved together to form a double but there is still the hard wooden frame inbetween making it very uncomfortable and impossible to use as double, so if you're a couple looking to snuggle up it ain't happening unless you don't mind fitting on 1xsingle bed. Also one of the beds frame kept falling apart. Parking is a challenge, especially if you don´t know the surrounding area. But I fortunately do know. It was rather cold and there was no way to turn on the heating. No reception as the staff are not local, though responsive. The bed was covered in polyester-blend sheets, and without a pad, which made it sticky. They had one huge, thick pillow, which was too big to use (for me). The hallways are noisy. I had to fix the shower, but now it works. No towels! (though the two guys who came to check the room on the last day told me that there should have been towels). Little bit messy, but not a big deal. No reception present in case of emergency. Difficult to find staff, beding was not the best. No breakfast room, and reception is open only 9-17. Upper floor with the elevator stopping one flight lower + stairs from entrance to the elevator. Thus not recommended for disabled / travelers with heavy luggage. Hard to find employee to gain initial entrance. the shower flooded from a clogged drain. We kept calling from 8am till 9:30 am to try to check out and no answer- It set our travelling plans off for the day. When he finally arrived to check us out he was a bit unpleasant. nothing. Wifi could not be connected in my whole two days, no receiption, need s tram to the railway stations, not easy to find. Room was so smoky - I know everyone smokes in Germany :( and I don't really have a massive aversion, but the room was really too smelly so I felt dirty. The method for getting way to and receiving key. Nobody explained that the appartments are in the ordinary living house without any hotel sign. I arrived in the morning of Saturday and spent about 1 hour to get access to my room asking occasional walkers about the apartment. Moreover, in the Internet instruction the address of appartment is wrong (House #5 instead of #6). The communication to the staff was difficult because it took often telephone calls thru Internet. The refuse bin was almost overflowing for the Three days i stayed there with no one coming over to change them, same for the bed sheets and towels. There was no actual breakfast, only preferred items to buy to do it yourself. WiFi was not accessible all time in the room!! although we managed to find a signal at the hall near the elevators. Electrical problems. It seemed the linen have not been changed. The toilet flush did not work. Guests initially have to ring caretaker for Key. No reception, no business card with a tel number, etc... Lack of receptions make registration and payment to become a problem and a waste of time. Unable to checkin as there was no staff, had to call a number and wait 1 hour in order to get keys for the room. Not clean, parking, not as shown in the images not even close. the problem was on beginning with obtaining the key, but after the call with the staff, everything was o.k. problem with wi-fi connection. Not very clean: table in the kitchen sticky, bed sheet stained, on top of that when I was outside a man entered in the appartment, used the toilet and didn't flush!! WiFi signal very poor and thus internet connection completely useless. No manager no staff wasn't at all in the office. There was no reception,just basement where to pay if phoning in advanced to the owner, the studio was tiny, few tings for cooking and it was not really clean. It is not an appartment but a simple room. The fully equipped kitchen is nonsens. It is just a cupboard in the room of some 60 x 100 cm with some very basic stuff. Not suitable to prepare a meal also because there is no ventilation. noisy apartment (thin walls). The price doesn't match quality. Price in comparison to value. It is an appartment with no feel or extra standard what so ever. Internet (WLAN) did not work during our 2 days stay. Interaction with landlord was substandard. Overall rating = We would never go there again if we have a choice to go elsewhere!!!. Very depressing room, more depressing lighting, filthy floors!!! Not clean bathroom and pantry,dark colored bed linen that you can't see if is clean or changed from previous user!!!! Broken bed.... In general indifference of th' owner to make something better out of it seen the possibilities and good location.......
