Housed in a Gothic and Renaissance building still showing parts of its origin back in 1319, the Savic hotel can be found right at the heart of the Golden City, close to the National Library and the Old Town Square. Surrounded by picturesque narrow cobbled alleys, the hotel is only 300 metres away from famous Charles Bridge and is also very close to all the other sights of Prague's Old Town, like the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock. All the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated just recently and are equipped with all modern amenities, but without altering the 14th-century looks with original wooden painted beams in some of the rooms. The entire hotel is fully air conditioned, offers a 24-h reception and multilingual, friendly staff to assist you at all times.

The Savic Hotel could not be located in a better position, a two minute walk to the old town square and five minutes from the Charles Bridge. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was large and immaculate with good facilities - flat screen tv, coffee maker, good quality complimentary toiletries and good sized fridge. The bathroom fittings were of a high standard.
all reviews » We based our decision to stay at the Savic on all the excellent feedback on this site. I have to emphasise we were not disappointed. Beautiful hotel, genuinely friendly staff. Nikola who checked us in at 12am was so lovely and kind. The way in which the rooms have been appointed with quality fixtures and fittings, decor and furniture is very impressive. The size of the rooms are very generous.The hotel staff were all very friendly from point of arrival to the time we left. A welcome drink on arrival was a great touch. The room was beyond expectation, a vast room with high ceilings and relaxing chairs......the en suite larger than some bedrooms! The buffet style breakfast was superb, fresh fruit, cheeses and breads, pastries and of course the 'full English' selection of hot foods. Quite an unassuming hotel from the outside, with excellent facilities on the inside. The hotel was well positioned. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Our room, though in the 4th floor roof (with ancient low beams), was large, well-furnished, equipped, decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast - good choice and plentiful. Would definitely go back to this hotel again.The location of the hotel is close to all the major attractions in Prague.Everything is accessible with the Charles Bridge and Weceslas Square within a 10 minute walking distance. We could not fault the hotel-if we were to be fussy we would suggest a full length mirror in the rooms and we would have preferred a kettle to the coffee maker.The cooked breakfast was fine but would like to see baked beans grilled tomatoes and hash browns added. Nothing really.The only thing I would chage would be the window curtains. The current fabric does not permit the room to be darkened if there's any light outside, which made it a challenge to continue sleeping beyond 6AM-especially for our baby...as the windows are very large, it's impossible to solve and we had to cover the cot with blankets to keep her sleeping. The Restaurant was good but was not following in taste level the magicfeeling of the other services.Only that we had to leave. Would have been nice if they had their own bar. But cafe/bar next door was great.Could probably do with a bar. The restaurant is a bit dark at night and the tables are all in straight lines. no. coffee provided at breakfast was awful. Very small critisism, there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the only mirror was in the bathroom.On several nights, we could hear noise from the street outside (groups walking home late from the bars). Bring earplugs, in case you need them. This would not, however, deter us from staying at the Savic again and again. We had an attic room, 405, and although very pretty it is also very small.the morning we were awakened by the intense noise from someone moving the furniture and slamming doors in what seemed to be the room next door or above us. the noise was so bad that it seemed as if it were happening in our own room. maybe the insulation between rooms or the walls are too thin?.
