Large room, beautiful view from our balcony, quiet. Enjoyed the continental breakfast coupons, and with the meager 7.35 extra charge, all the bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages and hash browns you wanted. Ideal for families with children. Would return anytime...Staff very friendly!. - Great gm and Controller who found us a room despite flooding disaster unfolding around us and large number of returning tourists - accommodated request to stay up to 2 nights if needed.

Internet was on and off as passwords for wifi seem to change quite frequent. Paying a damage deposit upon arrival. What type of people stay here? We received it back when we left. They could use new carpeting in the hallways. The voucher breakfast. Most hotels offer more than just cold items such as scrabbled eggs, bacon or sausage, etc. However this is just a minor issue. Nothing, everything was good. Pool opening too late. Wifi not working. very poor Wifi. The breakfast was awful, the hot tub area is very very dated. > No wifi signal in our room. > Breakfast was included in the room rate. On our first day, staff told us everything was for free. We later found out that the hot breakfast was charged an extra $7. Breakfast was at the motel next door. > No front desk staff at the Spruce grove when we checked out. Had to check out at the hotel next door (Voyager) where they did not have my credit card information. Bathroom didn't look as though it had been cleaned very well. Soap scum everywhere. Hotel bed & linen need change. Improve breakfast. Check in time, unfriendly behavior of a senior front desk staff. Worn out beds. Gross white spill on carpet by nightstand, I thought someone short sheeted the bed, we re-made the bed so we could have sheets cover us. 15 minute walk to downtown Banff. OK in summer though. Locked out after 23.00 and had to use hotel next door to gain access. Continental breakfast included, full English a bit pricey. uncomfortable beds :(. No internet available . always unable to use it. Wi-Fi available only next door- in the other restaurant and hotel. Expensive, staff not nice. No one on duty at front desk-had to go to the hotel next door to check in and out. Meals were available in the restaurant of the partner hotel next door which is very poor and smelled unhygienic, I chose not to use the vouchers for breakfast that I was given, I did without breakfast instead. Pillows not very comfortable. Room was quite dated. Older style T.V. Had to walk through the underground parking to get to the 'recreation facilities' in the adjacent hotel. The recreation facilities change room is just a 3-piece bathroom. No towel service was available, had to walk back to the room to get towels. There was an old Jacuzzi, sauna room, and a luke warm outdoor pool (it was winter). The ceiling was stained and in need of repair. -Dirty furniture. Visible dust where t.v, phone etc had been wiped around and not moved. -Dried toothpaste on the sink and counters. -Toilet was dirty along the base and sides. Urine/dust combination. - Out dated rooms. -Mattresses were very old and sunk in the middle. - Pop corn on the floor from pervious occupants. -Slow internet. -Very thin walls. Had to listen to the couple next door having sex which was very uncomfortable. Bathroom floor was not cleaned well. Given voucher for breakfast at hotel next door that you had to go outside to enter. Carried no cash at front desk so you couldn't get change. Front desk not staffed until 7a.M. so if you exited to go for a quick breakfast at 6:30 or you forgot something in your room you couldn't get back in the front entrance until 7:00. Communication by staff limited since under ground walkway was never pointed out to us. The room smelled so bad we only stayed a few minutes and had to leave. We prepaid so no refund but it was disgusting enough for us not to care. Stains on furniture and carpet, dirty bedspread and bathroom mold. could feel the springs in the beds. Front desk should know what's around. The room was beat up...hole in wall...walls with black marks...no mini fridge..... Worst service. I won't recommend this hotel/inn. Limited parking space, wifi not working, no coffee in the room, I got sick with the breakfast food, breakfast should be taken at the Voyager Inn - cold to go out and eat breakfast at another hotel. This hotel is like a one or two-star hotel but the rate is for four-star. Not professionally managed. I slept in the blood room. The cleaning was so poor, I was actually amazed. My bathroom floor had someone strangers blood on it, there were beer bottles left from the previous guests, and also their garbage. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they offered me 10% off, and that was it. I would have rather slept in my car than sleep in a crime scene.
