The staff were super friendly and very positive and up -beat. I have stayed at many hotels in Banff before and the staff at other hotels seem really annoyed and grumpy. I really appreciated being treated in a positive manner. Also I was happy to hear that a continental breakfast was included. Location, location, location. A very pleasant Inn well situated. Excellent staff, facilities & a nice breakfast all added to an excellent overnight stay - well done to all, it could not have been better. Peter & Sandra Stickland, Perth Western Australia.
all reviews » I don't think anything in Banff is too shabby. The Banff Inn is in a good spot, an easy walk into town & the room was large & comfortable. I left my laptop in the room & they called me immediately to let me know. Lovely Hotel, good breakfast, great steam bath, sauna and hot pool. Was walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. nice big room, tastefully furbished; big beds friendly staff good location - close enough to walk downtown, far enough to be away from late night entertainment venues. Comfortable good sized room. Adequate breakfast & free wi-fi. About 15 minute walk to main shops. Had no trouble parking the car in the undercover car park. Good choices of food at complimentary breakfast. If you make a request, staff are quick to address it. This is a well-kept inn with a pleasant environment. Staff were most helpful and arranged for us to have the same room we had previously, a wonderfully bright and airy front corner room!. Friendly staff, great location on bus route and near downtown and shopping. Wife enjoyed the electric switch controlled fireplace. I liked the facilities; hot tub, steam room & sauna room. My friend and I thought that our room was very clean and tidy!. We found the hotel to be quite nice and friendly .... Staff were quite accommodating and we would definitely go back ... So we had to drive around the block a couple of times to look for a place to park that was sort of close to the hotel. Everything was excellent - nothing more could be improved, keep up the good work. WELL DONE TO ALL. The staff weren't very friendly. We were instructed to give our breakfast vouchers to the servers who were no where to be seen. When they were there, they ignored you. breakfast start times varied from between 7am to 8:45am depending on whether the hotel accommodated bus loads of other travellers who stayed overnight only; this disadvantaged other hotel guests (some guided tours started at 8:30am so missed out on breakfast on one occasion); not much choice re breakfast items, very basic no fridge or snack making facilities in the room. Would be nice to have a mini 'fridge or somewhere to keep perishables. 1)The breakfast wasn't very accommodating and the food options were aweful. There should have been more of a variety. 2) There was also no water in the vending machines after asking on 2 separate occasions both on different days. We also checked on 2 different floors and still no bottled water!! The towels were very small for the bathroom & for the sauna room. I don't like survey's - almost every business wants feed back via surveys, from a consumer's point of view it is a pain!!!!!. The breakfast... Took my dining elsewhere. Not really enough sitting room at breakfast for the number of guests staying. the jets in the hot pool were not working properly but was nice anyways. A bit dated but budget friendly. Would have liked the pool and hot tub to be opened earlier in the morning as travellers usually have to get on the road. The breakfast was not very good either. Sorry. It was hot and couldn't find thermostat. Had to keep the balcony door open all night. Had to wait to check into room. 4 pm is too late I thought. The parking sucks if you drive a full size pick up or SUV I had to park on the street the resteraunt/lounge was odd to take kids into. the pool wasn't open early in the morning, the TV room could be a little bit more update.. and the breakfast could have more variety and options ... Needed a fridge for my 20 month old son's milk. I would have liked a pool!. No bar fridge. Very loud being on the main street side. No spa info. small room, crowded breakfast room. Slow WIFI. too far from downtown. The bathroom floor was extremely cold. Breakfast was poor. Their complimentary continental breakfast was lacking hot meals. The room was cold when we got there. Shower. Needs new shower head. breakfast room. Tour buses where the breakfast area was limited in time one day (only the tour was to use the free continental breakfast during a peak AM hour) and almost all tables another day "reserved" for the tour bus crowd. This makes sense for the tour group and hotel which undoubtedly relies upon the tours but seriously inconveniences the other guests who become second class citizens.the breakfast was the same for each morning we were there (4 mornings) with no variation as to the items available. Bathroom was a bit small, no fridge in the room, staff wasn't the most helpful but overall I wouldn't complain about my stay at all!. The upstairs loft could have used a half bath at least. Even for a continental breakfast, choices were very limited. Rooms were dated and beds uncomfortable. I would pay a few dollars more and stay elsewhere next time. I was mortified at breakfast that plastic cutlery and disposable plates and polystyrene cups were used and thrown away no recycling. It really spoilt breakfast for me and made the hotel seem very cheap that we didn't have proper plates etc. The amount of waste produced everyday seemed irresponsible. I wouldn't stay again due to this factor and would urge others not to until this changed. Lack of mountain view out window, but there's plenty of that everywhere else you look. The hotel rooms are very dated and need to be updated for the cost. no fridge, no low-flow toilets/taps, old TV, no TV channel guide, no order-in movies, bad pillows, weak breakfast (not enough choices). Cold lobby. Noisy. We did not like that fact that there was on going partying on our floor and was not controlled.We went for breakfest in morning nothing there to eat because of a hockey team was also there not staffed properly for that.we went to front desk to say our concerns about the partying and breakfest they really could give to cents about again we had to say will not stay again and well let others know not to stay. I didn't like that the walls are paper thin and at about 730 in the morning the young family beside us was yelling and screaming at there kid and this went on for about 3 hours so we finally just checks out and left. The breakfast wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The service was terrible, if we needed anything we got terrible service. Parking was awful, There was not enough. This hotel is only interested in taking your money. The service was disgusting and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They should consider that the customer comes first, not their wallet. I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. no fridge, no microwave in room, no microwave to use in lobby, no ice maker, pool too small, service wait time too long. The staff was very rude. The pictures on the website are very misleading. There was no ATM machine. I forgot a toothbrush and had to buy one from a vending machine. Poor hospitality. I would never stay here again.
