Everything. This was a luxury hotel at a moderate price. Room was large and spacious. It had a soaker tub and separate shower. Bed was so comfortable. It had a pool/Jacuzzi/steam room. It was a short walk (1/2 - 1 mile) to downtown but far enough away from the noise and crowds of downtown shoppers. Complimentary breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. We lived our stay in the Deluxe Room. The room was very clean and the style of the the room is unique to what we're familiar with. We were on the 2nd floor and the floors felt heated, not sure if it was from rooms below or actual floor heating. The bathroom is huge, separate tub from glass shower. Thank you to the staff at Charleton Cedar Court.
all reviews » This was a return trip to this property and we were not disappointed. The rooms are large and well laid out; the bathrooms are nice and roomy and very clean. The staff was again friendly and knowledgeable for the area attractions. Breakfast is included in the very affordable price. Excellent value for the money - will stay there again. The staff were excellent and helped in every way they could to make our stay enjoyable. The services were basic but well maintained and it was nice to have breakfast included in the price. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was great bring able to walk into town and back, plus the ski buses stopped at the next hotel. Charlton Cedar Courts was very nice. We actually only stayed for the one night. We found the loft a little hot as we had very hot weather. We asked the staff if we could move rooms and they actually upgraded us to the sister hotel. The Royal Canadian Delta Lodge and it was amazing! The staff was great and the stay was great!!. We really like Banff and we really needed a vacation. We just used the pool and sleeping. It is close to walk and shop. Unfortunately the room downstairs was very noisy very early in the morning, beds were also a little uncomfortable. We will be back though. Good staff, they give us great help for the trip plan. Comfortable spa, my bany enjoy it very much. Good design for the room, my family could cook in the small kichen in the room as well as my baby's meal. Thanks for the monderful hotel. Almost everything, except the stairs to the loft bedroom is narrow and steep. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is great. A sideline note for Chinese travelers: Silver Dragon on Banff Ave is an excellent Chinese restaurant. We had the loft suite, which was very clean and comfortable, and newly renovated. Fireplace is a nice bonus on cool nights. Enjoyed the coffee/tea makers and products provided. Lovely breakfast was included. The room was very nice with a big bathroom. Nice two night stay in Banff. The room was fine for us but anyone who has trouble with stairs check rooms before booking the room we had had a spiral staircase to a mezzanine level bedroon. I was surprised that when we came back from dinner there was a card, chocolates and champagne waiting for us for our 20 th anniversary. It was a very very nice touch !!!. The thermostat was downstairs so it got boiling hot in the sleeping area but was often cold on the bottom as the heat rose. The room was also a little dark. Both just design issues and not major problems. The steam room was also out of use during our stay which was disappointing. The concept of loft bedroom is nice, but at our age, not convenient to the bathroom on the lower level, by way of spiral staircase. Also, would like a balcony to maximize fresh air and scenery. Breakfast wasn't great but was included in the room rate and we were expecting that. Some lamps weren't plugged in at all nor was the alarm clock. Not a big deal though. More of a motel than hotel I would say due to the fact that the rooms all have outdoor entrances. That there was no bath tub only a shower, and there was no washroom on the second level. nothing. we found it hard to access. Sign did not stand out. No turn in from northbound lane. There was no microwave in our room. Maybe a better breakfast selection -- but otherwise, it was great. Bathroom sliding door was hard to open and close. the stinky room we received the 2nd night but you guys made it right...right away and helped move our stuff. this was very cool. The loft room was short of living space for us and our one teenager. No desk or table to sit at and minimal room for your toiletries. one of the electronic keys they gave us didn't work. Our room (n. 203) looked out onto the hotel beside the Charlton Cedar Court: that's why it was pitch dark, even on a sunny morning. I thought they could have had cereal at the continental breakfast and maybe scrambled eggs as they are easy ,instead they had cold hard boiled eggs which weren't very appealing in the morning. Paper plates, plastic cutlery at breakfast. The trees out front block the sign until you are almost past. There was no plug in for computer, nor was there a chair and desk for computer. tiled steam room would have been nicer in cedar. Also the shower was located in the steam room. Not a very good idea. Nothing!. N/a. N/A. The only down side I found was the placement of our room. We had to go outside and walk around the deck to get to the pool and back to our room, making for a chilly trip in the winter!. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was not that friendly or helpful. Why don't you have cold cereal for breakfast. We found that odd that you didn'T. Nothing. Everything was good, no complaints. Was a bit hot even with fan going, fireplace off and window open. We had a king loft. Loved the bed but it was extremely warm upstairs. We had to turn the air on really high. It was not that warm outside. Would recommend the loft for winter stays. Could update the couch in the room. a little bit far from dt banff. Breakfast buffet kind of chinsy definately not up to par. Room was cold on check in and took a long time to heat up. Shower pressure was dismal. Need to address these issues. the continental breakfast was horrible, needs to have cereals, and say pancakes, and ssay scrammbled eggs, add more food, muffins and crossiants where hard and dried out !!!. Absolutely nothing.
