the staff were very friendly and helpful the foyer had a beautiful perfume smell the hotel was in a perfect spot about 50 meteres to the Victoria markets and walking distance to the city. taxis and trams were just out the front deli across the road that was opened till late the café was just through the foyer doors will definatley book there again. Love the location near the Victoria markets. Easy access to Lygon Street and trams to Carlton, Brunswick, North Melbourne. Close to rental car pick-up. Surprised how good the healthy breakfast was and coffee. Excellent value.
all reviews » Strategic location just next to Queens Victoria Market, and within walking distance to Melbourne Central (for trains to other suburbs) and most locations in the CBD, else tram stop is just across the street. - Premium location, next to Queen Victoria Market & public transportation spots - Front pffice staffs were really helpful and nice. queen victoria market just next door and also near to shopping area and we found the very good noodle cafe name kitchen inn. We used to stay there when it was the Hotel Y but it got expensive. Our return (via letsbookhotel.com) was very good. Staff were always friendly, room was very clean and modern. We had a group staying around our room and however hard you try, the doors bang loudly. Room was very small but made up for with being spotless and modern. No free wifi - but 24 hr big M few doors down. my clock radio alarm mysteriously went off at midnight one of the nights, which was weird... but otherwise everything was great!. That we had to leave. No bathtub in the room No safe. Paintwork on each floor too bright and tacky. TV too small. Furnishings looked dated. Very small bathroom. Need to update their tv's. what hotel these days does not have wide screen tv? Hotel is not a 4 star, room decor is basic for boutique hotel. Breakfast dining, when a person is seated at a table having a meal you DO NOT move them regardless how crowded it is. If that happened at a resturant you would not get a warm reception from the customer. Room was dark, not enough lighting and shower knob was broken. The bed was uncomfortable too soft an the tv was too small with no movies on it an it was a bad picture quality. Compared to other hotels we stayed I'm Sydney etc this hotel was very dcemdove. layout of room not being able to pick up key earlier than actual official check in time, despite checking in very early 7.30am and being prepared to return btwn 1/2pm. room decor appeared tired. lack of basic toiletries. I wld consider this hotel minimum 3 star no more than that. very noisy at street side, changed room to market side.
