Excellent location! Most of staff are helpful and friendly except a girl at the front desk, she was grumpy and not helpful. When we arrived she was there and grumpy, we thought she had a bad day. She was there as well when we checked out, she again had the same atitude! She should resign if she can perform such professional customer servicing role. Otherwise, other staff are very helpful particularly the lady at the tour counter.

The location was great for many restaurant choices and is next door to Apocalypse Now (bar/club) - if you're into that sort of scene. The breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) was also pretty good. I also liked that we were able to use our credit card at this hotel. I thought it was a really good hotel for $40/night in District 1. The staff was absolutely amazing. So helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the room we had was so spacious. We got a free room upgrade when we checked in which was so appreciated. The Wi-Fi reception was great and the breakfast was excellent. I can’t think that they only have 3 stars as they are 5 stars in my eyes. The location is great and close to everything. I loved our stay there and was so sad to actually leave!. We booked the deluxe room, really value for money although the rooms could have been bigger. Breakfast was good too. The friendly staff make the stay very pleasant. We had a suite on 8th floor..it was magnificent with huge window overlooking Saigon river..we had planned to go out but room was that luxurious we stopped in. Sat on the chaise longe sipping a drink watching Saigon at night was beautiful. Comfiest room we have stopped in and we have travelled extensively. Breakfast is GIGANTIC buffet with an incredible amount of choice. The hotel was excellent--spotlessly clean, well organized, there was not a thing that was needed in the room that was not present. They put a lot of salt and sugar in the cooking, taste is too strong too much, more than half of the dish was wasted! Value of money is bad!. The car we booked the day before our flight did not show up on time. After waiting 10 minutes, we took a taxi instead - which was better since it cost 100,000 vnd less. I would expect that the car service from the hotel would be on time and also cost less or the same as a taxi - especially since there are plenty of taxis waiting right outside the hotel. I didn't like that the laundry service (like many other hotels) is by item - they should really consider charging by the kilogram. The steep staircase at the entrance is ahazard esp for elderly and it is very slippery when it rains. Haha..there's nothing here to complain about ..it's a fantastic hotel. Absolutely nothing!!!. nothing so we cancelled future HCM booking and will return to La Jolie on return after Da Nang. The water temperature in the toilet took a while to adjust properly. The room had a window with a view of the hallway. They didn't have much of a western style breakfast. The scrambled eggs were always cold. A little hard to find. I didn't like the fact that the room what we received had window to the hall of the floor and we could hear every movement of the other guests. The bathroom was in quite bad condition. Considering our room, we couldn't fit it in the category of 3 star hotel rooms. Unfortunately the hotel is located right next door to one of HCMC most popular nightclubs. If your planning a stay that will be over the weekend be prepared for REALLY LOUD music until all hours of the night. My room 606 was a the other end of the building and I still heard it loud and clear. No view to outside, window was towards hallway but one is mostly out anyhow. The standard room was smaller than I had hoped, but luckily very clean. I also didn't like having a window looking into the main corridor, but luckily there was another window looking out to the other buildings and shades to pull down for privacy. The breakfast was not really varied enough, good if you are Asian, but I'm also a vegetarian, perhaps some pastries would be good.. The hotel overbooks and online guests even with long established reservations may be shunted to tiny windowless rooms (superior?) or are farmed out to other hotels. An argument, the second time it happened, resulted in an upgrade to a larger room with a harbour view - gorgeous. Internet a bit slow and hotel small (but ok). There was nothing I did not like really. Very nice staff made up for any inconcenience. Breakfast should have more variety. the room size is bit small. Asked for a river view but were given a room with no window until we complained and were given a river view (across a corridor). Laundry bill was astronomical. Nothing at all. Nothing. The spa is not as good as other spa; when comparing the price. Should assist traveller when dealing with Taxi due to most taxi driver cheat, the hotel should explain on how much to pay to the driver. The only comment would be maybe more non asian breakfast choices. I can't think of anything. night club next door prevented sleep between 10pm and 3 am. computer in our executive suite room didnt function properly. Only negative was the shower kept going hot and cold other than that all excellent. The gentleman in the room next to us was very loud the two nights between about 9.30pm and midnight, he woke us both nights was not very happy with that. It was noisy at night. wish the staff speak English a bit better. Although the food is average, it can be improve further.
