Amazing location, peaceful and relaxing, simple, but comfortable bungalows and the most helpful staff person we have met in Vietnam -- Thang, who could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend Monkey Island Resort. The staff that looked after us (especially Ha) were great! Always smiling and accommodating for the entire time we were there. We especially liked being away from the larger populated islands. Great place! We will be returning!.
all reviews » The kayaks are free and you can explore all the surrounding islets very easily. The food is great! Try the hot pot!!! Very peaceful Very friendly staff Very beatiful surroundings!!. Staff were excellent when we were hit by severe tropical storm and were able to provide us with Hot meals when power went out. The manager Thung was particularly good. Staff was Brilliant! Really professional out of all the Vietnam places we visit which made us feel at home! Just a All-Round excellent experience. The staff were great and it was perfect for sitting around doing nothing... no real rush at the rush which made it even better. The location for monkey island is wonderful! Wake up right on the beach! The walk to view the monkeys is very interesting. The place is very nice, the staff is really willing to help and make our leisure stay very nice. Very comfortable hotel, table-tennis, volleyball, football, cayaking, pool. Location Friendly staff. Nice position. The brilliant views Staff were so friendly and helpful. Staff did what they could to save the situation. Cost of water, drinks and food rather high for what it was and there are no other options on the island. Would recommend back up generator when power is lost. Not much to do, so suggestion would be to have more activities or things to do. Otherwise good place. getting there was a bit of a pain because of the long distance ferry boats and the multiple switches from boat-bike-boat rides. Some staff had very limited English which makes interactions with reception challenging. There were renovations happening during our stay so there was a lot of noise from 5:30am. I would recommend only one night stay if you are a young couple. No internet in room, only in lobby and in restaurant. Not so clean, beaches, surroundings etc. Extra commission if you pay with VISA Bill not clear. The rubbish in the sea. Have to be back on the island resort at 7pm. Very little entertainment. Get stuck with same dining table everyday (we didn't get a view), regardless of how much you have spent on a room. Very isolated, but if you want a very relaxing holiday with a partner then it is ideal. No soap, nothing described provided (wardrobe, desk..), no safe security box, no no phone to reach the lobby, nothing to put the towels in the bathroom, no small towels and so on, food so so and very expensive, transfer to island charged (not indicated).... It's more a hotel for backpackers, only problem is that it does cost 100$ per night so price of luxury hotel!.
