We spent there three days and liked this cozy hotel a lot. We got free cocktail every evening, free sauna, free kayking every day and entry to the Cat Ba Fort Our boungaloo was very small but cozy, clean and we enjoyed it a lot. Glorious position; friendly staff; wonderful environment on the whole island; beach swimming was excellent; sunset bar irresistible; Cat Ba town was fun; sea food barbecue excellent.

The location was wonderful and the bungalows were charming. We enjoyed complementary cocktails on the beach and the sauna was a delight. superb location with friendly staff and a great number of the extra's that made our stay so nice: sauna, kayak, a free cocktail, ... Personal beach, boongalo, situated near the city center(10-15 min). Excellent choice for the rest. Everything was very good, the beach its amazing. Really good food!. Beautiful garden, bungalows with view of the private beach,. Beach and the garden of the resort. The location, in a wonderful bay. (15 minutes walking from Cat ba town, call the hotel to ask them to send you a taxi as it is not so easy to find one in Cat Ba, we arrived around 20 in the island and couldn't find a taxi and had to walk until there). The bungalows are nice, especially the bathroom! The hotel gives you free voucher to have access to the sauna, to do 30 minutes of canoe, windsurfing (but was not enough wind when we asked to try). The rubbish on the beach!!!. Restaurant staff attitude and quality of the food could be improved. Breakfast service on the last day was very poor. The buffet had disappeared and the person who took our breakfast order was rude and reluctant to provide us with two drinks (coffee and orange juice). This was very much a contrast with the previous two days. we couldn't really heat the room, which is only a problem if you travel in december or january, like we did. Rude staff. Bungalows are tiny, no room to place the luggage. resort had opend a few weeks before we stayed there, service staff seem unexperienced but that can be better by now. Uncomfortable beds. Menu restricted in the restaurant, all we asked from the menu was not available. Staff is not really welcoming. The beach can be dirty but this is not the hotel's fault as they clean it everyday. By the morning the water is still ok but from 10 or 11 the sea can become really dirty, the water brings lot of detritus :( (but I think it is the same in every hotel in Along bay). Food Majority of staff young and lethargic. The staff are lazy. The breakfast starts at 630 but at 7am they still aren't ready. We hired scooters from cat ba town and when we were out on a boat trip all day somebody used one of our scooters breaking the helmet and using all the fuel. When approaching staff they laughed and spoke in Vietnamese. Only staff would've known we were out all day. Overall lively resort but the staff ruined out 3 night stay. I wouldn't not recommend or return to this property. Due to poor management of staff the food at breakfast was appalling. Simple things such as hot coffee were absent. We stayed in the smaller of the wooden huts. It was too small and there was no room to unpack. Suggest you stay in the larger stone rooms.
