Cannot find fault with anything. The pool was particularly good for our little one. All of the staff were really helpful. Restaurant excellent and again, the staff were fantastic. Location great for walking into the town centre. we were very happy to find all of the staff very plesant and happy to help, which was a refreshing change. We only food we had was the breakfast which was lovely and a wide range of food to choose from.

Room very clean and comfortable - good size. Well situated for central York.Recently re-furbished, so rooms and shared areas good. Setting nice. Polite attentive staff. Secure parking at no extra cost. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and well kept, staff were very polite and helpful. Would definately stay again. The speaker in the bathroom. The toilet separate from the bath. The flat screen TV. The breakfast. the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff, particularly at check-in and in the dining room. Location, Friendly and helpfull staff and they had a great range of breakfast choices. Couldn't fault it, very friendly staff and easy to find location close to York Centre. excellent room, friendly staff, close enough to York city centre and train station. it was a nice room , good breakfast , and walking distance from city centre.Staff v helpful and friendly, good value fo money, will definitely be back. It was central and the facilities were excellent. beds where a good size not just standard. bar area and lounge and outside area. comfy large beds, clean modern rooms. location of hotel to centre of town. good location nice room nice staff. Within walking distance of centre. the pool. I took my grandaughter for her birthday. We arrived at 10.30am and as a room was vacant we checked in straight away. Which was great. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Although we had to pay to park at the hotel it was still alot cheaper than the £2.20 per hour fees to park in York City. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay.The location of the hotel was excellent ideal for exploring the wonderful City of York. Also staff from all areas of the hotel were very helpful and friendly. A big thank you to all. The breakfast was fabulous, and the recent renovations to the bathroom were great - you could watch tv in the bath, and there was even a speaker in the bathroom to hear it!!. All the staff were extremely friendly and very efficient.The hotel was very clean and spacious.Probably the largest room we have had when staying in this sort of accomodation.I thought that the Staff were extremely helpful and even arranged to have flowers for my wife in the room on arrival, and booked our restaurants also. Local to city centre, food in hotel was excellent, room was a fair size and spotless. clean,very friendly staff,modern feel without being too inpersonal. Hotel clean throughout.I would say that the "drop-off" point between the shallow and deep ends of the swimming pools could be more clearly marked, to prevent surprising the occasional non-swimmer. Would have preferred to be a little nearer to York Centre - this one is on the river but a 15 min walk from the shops and attractions. Hard to find as on the one way system, parked up and got directions from reception after driving round for 20 mins or so.Paying for parking when somehow I received the impression from a website that it was free. you could smell that people where smoking in the other rooms. Breakfast is overpriced. Not being able to check in until 2:30 pm. The room alarm was not reset and went off at 6am!. eggs at breakfast - could be better presented. Again allowing animals in rooms I have a dog but wouldnt allow her in a bedroom. There was no toilet in the pool area.If we were to be pedantic we both felt that the pool changing facility could be better. The wait to be seated for breakfast and then no real service, we had to ask for coffee and food was slow to be replaced. The hotel was busy but with an excellent atmosphere. However, on Sunday night my husband had to wait 12 minutes to get served a drink because the single barman was busy making speciality coffees. Not his fault. There was not enough staff on for a busy evening. Minimal clothe storage. a lower cost would be nice. especially with our weaker dollar. the swimming pool was not ideally equipped for children.(baby changing facilities).The changing cubicals were too small even for 1 adult and 1 child together.Other than that a nice warm clean pool.very warm room,lots of children running around. the bed was rather hard and having standard pillow would have been more comfortable. Pool rather small. No hand washing facilities in the wc, Extractor fans not working in bathroom and wc.
