Middletons is a collection of six historical, Grade-II listed building situated around a secluded courtyard garden in the heart of York city centre, 800 metres from York Rail Station and York Minster. Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). Hair dryer, TV etc. Great location to walk about York, on site parking too. Classy place, peaceful, lovely grounds. A winner. The hotel is in a great location within the city walls and provides free parking. It is quirky in layout, yet has a very cosy feel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. Close access to walking the city walls, great views and it's free!.

Very pretty hotel and no problems. Even though the hotel has several buildings, the fact makes it very attractive and pleasant. After sitting on the train it is good to get up and walk around. During our stay in york we went to the york dungeons and done the haunted ghost walk tour it was fantastic.. The lady anne midleton hotel was an excellent choice in accomendation we would definately return to stay there. There was absolutely nothing to complain about we had a perfect stay and most enjoyable weekend.Location, excellent service, and staff. The breakfast was very acceptable with a good choice. The evening meal was more than satisfactory. All in all, very good value for money, and so convenient for the centre of York. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers full traditional cooked English breakfasts served to your table, as well as a buffet-style continental breakfast. For those who require earlier breakfasts, a continental breakfast tray can be arranged.

By Car: Although there are many routes into York, Lady Anne Middletons Hotel recommends the following: - On reaching the York Outer Ring Road, the A64 and the A1237, take the shortest route to the A1036 (York West) junction. This is Tadcaster Road. - Follow the A1036 straight on, past York Racecourse on the right-hand side, to the city wall (Micklegate Bar). - Turn right at the traffic lights, into Nunnery Lane, and keep the city walls on the left-hand side until you come to the Skeldergate Bridge. J - Just before the bridge, turn left into Skeldergate, and then immediately left onto Cromwell Road. - The entrance to the hotel car park is the second turning on the right (approximately 100 metres), on the brow of the hill. If you are using satellite navigation, please use the postcode YO1 6DU, as this brings you to the entrance of the car park in Cromwell Road. By Train: Lady Anne Middletons Hotel is 0.5 miles (800 m) from York Rail Station. Taxis are readily available from the station.
