With all the new mod-cons including buttons to alert reception you do not wish to be disturbed and a tv that controls the lighting/air con/internet, the decor is tastefully done and the bed extremely comfortable! all reviews » I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Westbridge Hotel if your stay is centered around the Stratford area, or for us at the O2 Arena in Greenwich. There is a DLR station 2 minutes walk from the hotel, which makes London easily accessible! The hotel is really pretty and well decorated! Our room suited our needs perfectly, it was stylish and comfortable with impressive complimentaries. The staff are friendly and approachable, who are genuinely interested in your stay and comfort in the hote. The way that the personeel treated us was outstanding, they noticed that during our stay my daughter's birthday will happen and they sent a small cake and prepared the room with ballons! It was a very good surprise! The hotel rooms are not so big but enough and they even changed us to a more spacious room at the same price and after 19:00 w/o any charge. The hotel is very close to the subway and rail station. It is very clean and modern. The style of the Hotel was fantastic, brand new, such value for money! we were thrilled and we only have the most basic room. the quality of finish was good, the curb appeal was good too! Our room's air con wasn't working and so we had to sleep with the windows open. As the hotel is located on a major road it was necessary to sleep with ear plugs to block out the noise of the traffic and passer-bys. You also need to ask them to open the windows for you as they are safety locked. One thing, which was probably our own fault, was that we did not realise until after booking (a room, with breakfast included) that it was a Halal hotel and therefore did not have pork on site - which meant no pork sausages or bacon, which was slightly disappointing. However, this is only a minor drawback, as the rest of the buffet breakfast was delicious and had lots on offer!. Basically nothing, the only recomendation could be to have 2 different buffets for breakfst so they can vary within the week. Room size was okay for a couple of nights, but I would go premium for more than that. Breakfast was expensive and very very busy!! get there early!!. Not much. Its location isn't wonderful. No comments as stay was fantastic. The air con in the room was really weak, didn't cool the room down at all. We brought a dvd to watch on box office and it was laggy. Can't complain of anything. We had cold water in the shower our first morning, but this was quickly remedied by the maintenance person, and we were given a complimentary breakfast. There isn't anything to complain about, but remember although Westbridge is a four star it is not a palatial and spacious countryside hotel so your kids wont be running around. It's an upmarket city hotel with a cosy, boutique style. Nothing. Our ensuite was on the small side but very clean adequate for our needs. The location of where the hot was situated wasn't really the best. Apart from being next to the Westfield we felt a little unsafe apart from in there. Room was not ready and we were told it would be 15 mins and that someone would come to let us know. 45 mins later still no one had spoken to us so we went to ask and room had in fact been ready for half an hour. Small room with just enough space for a fold up camp bed for our son. Too much emphasis seems to have been paid at this hotel on gadgets and hi tech rather than basic comfort. The double bed had 2 mattresses which created a gap in between the bed. Nothing. Just the noise of the air conditioned...but its a little point. letsbookhotel.com gave incorrect details about my booking - didn't mention the half board on the form sent to the hotel, so they had me down as room only. Fortunately Monica, the receptionist went to a lot of trouble to sort it out and I did get the correct booking at the correct price in the end. Some problem with the television remote, making it slow and difficult to change channels,but nice big screen and good picture. Room temperature, claims to be 24c with maximum allowed adjustment to 25c, yet it felt uncomfortably cool. I would complain if more than 1 night stay. TV's bad reception on most channels. Would have loved more natural daylight in the room - there was a window but it was narrow. Can't think of anything that we didn't like. Nothing at all. No hotel bar. No bar.
