all reviews » For the price (just over 100 GBP on Bookings.com) it can't be beat. A mere 2 blocks from Kennsington Gardens, quiet, clean. A lot of folks are giving it a bad review because the carpet is worn, the room temps aren't climate controlled and, yes, the bathrooms are micro-sized. But I like to sleep cheap, eat well and be in a good part of town. If you don't mind climbing stairs, this is a great place for those who don't want to spend a fortune on lodging in London! Just leave your high expectations. We liked the friendly and helpful staff, the large room with one double bed and two separate beds. Beds were very comfortable. The room was of a decent size. Wc and shower separated which helped for us being four, but inside the room. Wifi coverage was great in our room. Close proximity to Paddington station and some descent restaurants just nearby. The staff arranged for a taxi to Stanford airport at a price which actually was equal to subway and train tickets. The hotel was really well located, and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly & helpful. We requested the room with a Juliette balcony & it was allocated to us. We really enjoyed our stay & would recommend it. Noise ratio is high and that is due to the poor insulation. First impressions, the hall stairway carpet looked grubby and our first room on the top floor was a bit small. My boyfriend said the beds were not long enough he had to curl up as his feet were of the bed and he found that uncomfortable. No lift,too many stairs. none. Lots of stairs and no elevator.
