Our accommodation was actually a townhouse over 3 storeys just yards offthe royal mile. It was fantastic-clean and well equipped and would nothesitate to recommend it. In fact we plan to use it again very soon. Avery big plus point for us was the ability to park the car beside thehouse which is a big plus especially in edinburgh where parking is onthe whole horrendous. An extremely clean, modern and well maintaned flat. Very good self catering facilities. The flat was provided with clean towels and hair dryers for each room. It even had sky tv. Walking distance to royal mile and the castle. The staff was very attentive and courteous. Enjoyed the stay, I would highly recommend.

The flat was facing a cemetary across the road, but the front garden was enclosed so It did not bother us.There was a strange smell in the hallway that we noticed every time we came in and from the kitchen sink, but maybe because it hadn't been in use recently. it would be better if the bedroom is same floor of the lounge and kitchen.Poor lighting in hallway outside apartment. Info about parking restrictions at apartment would have been nice to know before arrival. Very small things could have been provided such as tea and coffee making supplies - including a teapot - and some milk.uncomfortable mattress on all beds. there were insufficient cutlery and it wasn't all clean.cutlery and plates in cupboards had not been washed properly and were still dirty, the bins had not been emptied and were still full of the previous tourists rubbish, the oven was not clean. only three bath sheets were provided no hand towels or tea towels in the kitchen. The carpets on the stairs were dirty. No batteries in the smoke alarms.
