The hotel was warm and the staff welcoming. The room was spotless with everything in good working order.The food in the restaurant was excellent with a good choice of evening meals. The breakfast was first class and the breakfast waiting staff were extremely efficient and very cheerful. The cleaning staff were also very thorough and pleasant. everything the hotel staff had a happy atmosphere and it just added to the evening the food was great it was an all round brilliant night.

Shower did not seem to run on any pumps and therefore hardly any power, even domestic showers without booster pumps have enough force. Overall the hotel facilities were acceptable. decor a bit dated. Hardly slept a wink. Far too noisy. People still partying at 5 o'clock in the morning.

The Hotel lies in the west end of Dundee, 2 miles from the City Centre. The hotel has been developed from a 19th century silk merchant's house. Our Ballroom, which has large windows overlooking the gardens, is a popular setting for weddings in the summer months, as well as hosting many dinner-dances and larger meetings. Two huge Californian Redwood trees grow just in front of the hotel, and from these, our Main Bar and Restaurant takes its name: the Redwood Bar. We offer 24 hour room service.
