i liked the friendly staff, allways willing to help and very clean room and facilities. it was a lovely hotel and location, breakfast was lovely. swimming pool and sauna and breafast was really nice. went to my son's football tournament. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Everything was fantastic - the staff were brilliant, the facilities were great - nothing was too much trouble, we had a problem with the shower and it was fixed in no time.
all reviews » Leisure facilities, restuarant food. the leisure facilities are really good with a good size pool and gym.It is opposite a very good park -next to the Zoo but within easy reach of the town -if you don't mind a good walk.The facilities are excellent 18 hole golf course,squash and tennis courts a great pool and gym and only a short taxi ride away from the blackpool night life the best of both worlds. Staff very helpful. Leisure facilities were excellent. Food in Bar Nineteen was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast menu was good too. Location. the food was a bit too fancy for my liking but did look very good. no. Breakfast service a little hap hazard but not enough to spoil the experience ie used crockery/ cutlery not removed, had a long wait to order coffee/tea. It is appreciated it was quite busy.The queue and delay for breakfast on the Sunday morning. To warm, even with the window open it was like trying to sleep inthe tropices. The breakfast was not really up to standard. Although the food was excellent, the menu choice was limited. There seemed to be more options on the room service than in the restaurant.Our room was much too hot.we left the window open but it was too windyand /or too noisey. Very noisy due to a disturbance from 1am till 3 am. The price of drinks! I did not enjoy the breakfast too much either. The bathrooms in the hotel need improving they are very old fashioned and need updating. Room service was appalling. Bathroom in room as needed modernisation. Further from Blackpool beach than expected. The room was pretty basic i expected a bit more from De Vere hotel. Yes ! The general cleaning duties did not seem to be carried out ie: Dirty Room....... corrodors not cleared for hours on end of breakfast trays in particular. The resturuant had not been fully cleaned ..... there for instance was a door hanging off the cupboard from where the waiters are stationed and the kick boards were very dirty as well even thou the actual food was very good.Standard room is very disappointing. Staff were slow to respond to requests and did not seem to know the area verry well. . Room and bathroom in need of updating. Restaurant and bars expensive. Standard room, very standard.
