Nothing but a 10 to this hotel. Great staff, the location is 5 minutes from the harbour, you feel safe because they hire many guards, breakfast was good, they have good computers free to use and wifi in all rooms. Considering the price and the Tanzanian standards, this place is absolutely the best in terms of quality/price ratio. I recommend it to all travellers. Location is good, rooms are nicer than they look in the photos, and in Tanzania at US$100 per this is a bargain, I can't comment on other hotels is Dar es Salam as this is the only one I've stayed in, but if I compare hotel prices in the rest of Tanzania then this is pretty good value for money.
all reviews » The staff are very friendly and very efficient. There is a good ambience in the hotel. It is also very comfortable. But what I liked the most was that when I stayed in Ramadan this year, the hotel fed the local poor at the evening meal for free each evening. I thought that was amazing. spacious room and bathroom, large TV, effective air con, toaster and mircowave as well as tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water. Mr. Khan and staff were friendly and very helpful in all ways. Everything from the air conditioning to the WiFi worked as promised. Location and staff. Rooms were very comfortable and good value for the price. Staff were helpful , polite, pleasant. Once again, on our second visit: service excellent, rooms comfortable and spacious, extremely clean. Usually we would need to book two hotel rooms, which would prove to be expensive. We got a two-bedroomed suite which was a lot cheaper than two separate rooms. The hotel is obviously new, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom and fittings in the kitchen was nice. A basic but abundant breakfast was included. The hotel is downtown, so we were in the midst of the locals. Dar has an amazing ene. The night staff was friendly and very helpful. Hussain is a kind and gentle manager. I requested an airport pickup which didn't materialise and when I told them it was explained that one was sent but was taken by another customer - no one apologised for this mixup. Noisy as Mosque starts prayers very early in the morning so the loudspeakers tend to even drown out the TV. Men and woman are not allowed to use the Gym at the same time. Response time for any request to staff was annoyingly very high. The beds were very hard. The place was very clean and facilities fine, BUT I was promised breakfast inthe morning before leaving. It was not delivered to my room which I was promised. I had to call for it. After that someone ask me to go to the dining hall but on my insisting it came to my room. Tea which I had ordered owas some milk and chocolate. etc. Very poor! The location of he hotel is not the best one.!. I was expecting a nicer room for the price I paid, the room did not feel cozy at all. The room had 3 bathrooms and some of them were dirty. Asked for accom close to a/port, but Htl was near centre of city. Traffic noise and an early breakfast I ordered did not arrive. Important disadvantage that no restaurant in the hotel and only budget eateries can be found in the neighborhood. The "greeting" board at the entrance: ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! was surprising since Tanzania is not a dry country and I believe this information should be given beforehand on letsbookhotel.com website. WiFi Internet was very weak. No restaurant and the breakfast was terrible. For a business traveller the WiFi was very slow, I couldn't do any useful Skype calls and it took ages to download anything. Poor breakfast No restaurant Location Bad food from take away. Every thing. The staff was rude. The breakfast was bad.
