It's very central and close to Plaza Catalunya from where you have plenty of transport choices and can get all tourist information about the city from the tourist office. It is also close to Urquinaona Metro which is handy for travel. The hotel staff especially Mark was very coperative, carried my suitcase to my room from the reception, helped me when I lost my credit card.The rooms were fine. Good quality for the price we paid. It's a good hotel for a few nights when you're only using the hotel to sleep in and spend the rest of your time outside of the hotel. It's clean and the people were nice. Great location, friendly personnel, tidy small room. Breakfast 'an automated' one, coffee machine + ready made pastry, quite ok though. Would go again, nice experience in all.Its location - very centrally located, close to shops and metro stations. The hotel is also clean and safe, with friendly staff. I stayed in the hotel because of its possition ,only 200 yards from La Rambla ith all iys attractions. Very central location and the staff were very helpful. He carried our heavy bags up the steps when we arrived and also when we departed. He called a cab for us and accompanied us to the cab. He patiently let me chat with him in Spanish. Not really, but I was expecting a better breakfast with more choice at that price prefearbly with cereals, juice, friuts etc. If you have a piece of heavy luggage, you need to climb a short flight of stairs to get to the lift.The breakfast that was includded was little pre-packaged muffins, biscuits and vending machine tea/coffee. The elevator is not available on the ground floor. We had to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. Also, the selection for the breakfast should be improved.breakfeast. What you call a "Continental Breakfast" is a really poor breakfast.There was not neither a breakfast room and we had the breakfast by avending machine.The rooms were a bit spartan. But the price was good. The location was great. Continental breakfast was a joke. Tiny longlife doughnuts and coffee shouldn't be called breakfast. The room was also very noisy - fitting a double glazings in would be a solution. And the cleaner - an old lady was quite moody...no elevator~~. Walls were thin so you could hear guests showering etc. I'm not sure who designed the bathrooms in the rooms; perhaps an abnormal person with no knees because there is virtually no room between the front of the toilet and the bath!. The hotel could be seen from the outside as there was a sign outside a bedroom a few storeys up but we were a little unsure at first on how to get to reception There was no sign downstairs. Breakfast was basic and couldn't be classed as continental but it was ok. to much noise. The breakfast was a coffee from a vending machine and a choc cake. breakfast.tiny room. room very small. the walls of the rooms were very thin and every sound could have been heard ;. very small room. they switched rooms on me, which was inconvenient. and here's a buyers' beware: if you use a u.s.-based credit card, they charge a sizeable fee for the euro-U.S. dollar conversion. i could have saved $40 by paying cash. i thought the hotel was pricey for what it was - a very basic hotel - but it was the height of the tourist season in a very popular city. i'd give it a qualified recommendation. renovation needed. Walls and doors are too thin - too noisy. Very basic facilities. Breakfast. Very tiny single room and a bit shabby. Very noisy from Metro under the hotel so did not sleep well.we couldn't sleep because of noise from the reception area and from other rooms. breakfast. to noisy.
