This is a brand new hostel, you can literally smell the paint from the walls
very nice and large common area
it is located perfectly, very close to some famous Gaudi houses and Catalunya square. A railwaystatioj connecting to the airport is a 5 minute walk, the tube station is even less
WiFi works fine (watched a live stream w/o any interruptions).
I am pleased to tell that our family were very happy for the stay. The hotel stuff was reasonable friendly, but it was enough, all our questions were answered. The place is just great, you could easily reach Sagrada Familia or la Rambla by foot. The kitchen was clean an cauzy.all reviews »
Very well located, within a walking distance to almost every touristic destination, also near the metro station. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and you can meet lots of new people.

the kitchen was very useful, is spacious and clean, our room was clean and cozy. the location is awesome, one can find supermarket easily even if it's late and cook until 12 am.
I gladly recommend this hostel even if I'm in Barcelona again! one moment - for 6 nights of my stay never changed the bed linen... and so I was satisfied with everything!.

We had a double bed room with a private bathroom. It is very close to the Center metro station, which made our trip around the city very convenient ( we barely needed to change trains). Room is clean and living room and kitchen were very modern and sofa is comfortable.

It is hard to locate since there is no sign on the street. Once you're in front of the right door, ring the bell at "1 a" - that's the hostel.
The lockers are quite small, even a carry-on sized suitcase doesn't fit
kitchen not yet fully equipped (but you can cook, nonetheless).
It was difficult to find the place, because there was no sign about the hostel. but when we reached number 355 we just tried one of many buttons - 1.1 and the doors opened.
There is no sign of the hostel, even in the door of the apartment. We tried to find tho hostel for 15 min. even though we were in front of the building.

the hall was very noisy, the room was aside the reception and hadn't windows.

One staff member in particular was very rude, he tried to in force rules like we school children in regards to noise in the common area when we were trying to get to know people in the evening. He would not let us even whisper. The rooms or common area does not have air conditioning even though it was advised and the rooms were so hot at night time.
when we arrived we couldn't find the hostel because there was no sign, during our stay someone put a little sign next to the door.. so there shouldn't be a problem anymore to find it :)
another issue which should be improved it that in the showers are no mattocks (for hanging towels etc).
there was no aircon in the rooms, the common area for smoking is outside the windows of the rooms so people were talking very loud and smoking till early morning, no body wanted to talk to eachother, they seemed to just want to stick to their groups.
Tiny and leaky wash basin in bathroom- makes the bathroom floor wet all the time. Inadequate storage space.

Staff said we are not welcome at the hotel after 11.00. So if you are

It leaks when we took showers, which flooded our room few times. Was not easy to find the location. Need to rent towels. Some parts of the hostel are still under construction. No Center air conditioner. A small ac in our room was extremely noisy in the night. Window couldn't be closed. It could be a potential insecure.
Room was really small. No windows. A hole in the ceiling. Air conditioning couldn't be set from the room. Price too high. You have to pay 1 euro to get one towel.
The hostel is an apartment and there is a small hostel sign on the bell. Even though we got to the door of the hostel directly by taxi, we could not realize that it was where we were looking for until we walk to the bell and see the sign. We stayed in a room with 3 black holes in the ceiling, and no windows at all. The guy at the reservation had no idea about these holes, it seems that they forgot to close them after a repairment. It was a scary night.
Very difficult to find since there are 2 with the same name on the same street. Also signage is poor. The letsbookhotel.com site says that there is an airport shuttle. This is not the case, as I found out 40 euros later.
