Room was excellent, especially the bathroom. We ate in the restaurant on one occasion. The food was wonderful. We were served by a young lady who appeared to be new. I think her name was Alexandra? It may have been spelt differently . She was enthusiastic and smiled a lot. Her attitude was a feature of our evening. We also dealt with a man on reception called Gustavo several times. all reviews » The location of the hotel was perfect , it is few minutes walk from the city center and the bus tour. The staff are friendly and helpful all the time and were kind to my 5 months old son. The inside of the hotel is clean with modern design, the room although slightly small but are comfortable and clean and the hotel provide a cot to by son freely. I was expecting a moderate size swimming pool unfortunately it was small, but again it is clean with modern design romantic atmosphere. This hotel is perfectly located to the lots of shops, restaurants, and transportation. Quite modern, the hotel is clean and comfortable, with sleek styling. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was grateful for the offer of a replacement electric power converter/adapter when mine seemed broken. Breakfast was varied and tasty; don't miss the fresh- pressed watermelon and pineapple juices)! Although a discount was available for the restaurant, its price fixed and much to much food and not good selection. A bit strange shover system.Once you set the water temperature it does not stay the same but keep changing from warm to hot and cold and hot again.So shover can take some time. Make sure you let them know if you want two double beds or one full bed, rooms can be quite small. Ask to be upgraded upon arrival and they may be able to assist. We couldn't sit at the pool past 11pm, which would have been nice. A bit strange with wash basin in the bedroom in some rooms. None. Couldn't figure out how to use the coffee machine in the restaurant so had breakfasts T the nearby tapas bars. Nothing to dislike in our opinion. The breakfast was outrageously expensive at €19 but we just bought juice and croissants at the supermarket on La Rambla and ate in our room. There was a bit of noise from building work at the rear of the property but we could only hear it when we were by the pool and not from inside the room, which overlooked the site. We tried to get a cocktail before dinner, but the waiter did not even look at us or say he would be with us in a minute. he was busy with a menu or something. But he was the exception. The swimming pool was very small, but we only used it once. I liked everything. The staff was able to answer most questions but not overly welcoming and friendly. Small bathroom and shower that doesn't completely close so you need to watch for splashing water on the bathroom floor. Only place to sit other than the bed was a office desk type chair. Being there for business I did not appreciate being told I could not use an iron myself, and had to pay for the service per item. We had poor water pressure on the 6th floor. Breakfast too expensive .not a big deal, Small coffee places are around everywhere. To leave so soon. Buffet breakfast is expensive at 19 euros. A lighter option for those who don't want a large breakfast would have been good. nothing at all. no hair conditioner in bathroom. nothing else to complain about! fantastic hotel!. So we feel obliged to find something we did'nt like : a late check out was promised , and this promise was not kept. As most of his hosts come for a few days with light luggage , the hotel should allow hosts to bring pool towels to the beach (with a deposit ? ...an idea for the boss). We were in room 102 and whilst the room was spacious and had great views of Gran Via des Corts we could hear and feel every underground train that travelled below our room. Everything was very good. Nothing at all. The bed sheets were not clean and there were not enough sound proof cause you could hear the noise from other rooms (toilet flush) and elevator usage!. Nothing to complain about. The hot water level is difficult to adjust. Room with balcony bit small, but I might have booked the wrong one.. Our booking was for 2 rooms but we were put on different floors. Too boring! Bassein hours limited!!! Works only untill 21:00 to 10:00 morning. Such a small hotel area, nothing to see. In the restaurant the lady did not speak any language, only spanish., but.. she was very friendly. Nothing!. Happy with everything!!!. Breakfast was expensive for what it was, we used the tapas bar right next door it was really good. No bathrobe and slippers in the room (deluxe) it's a question of standard and not price, acting a bit greedy on this. Only issue was room thermostat which required 2 visits by maintenance. Rooms a bit small. Noise from outside corridor could be a problem. Our room had a unpleasant back building view. -very small pool with just a few beds -no daylight in triple room. Cold room with AC/heating not working. After several complains the hotel staff tried to repair it with no success. So they turned it off entirely. Strange problem solution... but temperature was ok since then. No house number and full ne on the streemade it hard to fiine if it is your first time to Barcelona.
