Husa Barcelona was an excellent choice to stay at in Barcelona. The hotel was literally within a minute's walk from Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas and our balcony overlooked a part of the Plaza. The room was beautiful, had comfortable beds, and I have absolutely no complaints. The staff were very friendly and were very tolerant of having loud guests come over. There was confusion as to what I called a "cot" and what the Europeans cal a "cot". They consider it a baby bed and I needed it for my 21 year old son. They were very understanding and provided a bed for him.

My room was facing the street which was pretty noisy at some times in the evenings and nights too which made sleeping a bit difficult. On arrival were met by a senior member of staff who ignored us and did not engage in eye contact. We found this very off putting and unwelcoming. It gave us a very bad impression of the hotel. Also the hotel had very limited facilities eg no bar or no sitting area in the foyer.Breakfast was poor value. Other members of staff were very nice. Location was excellent.the rooms we stayed in were nice and clean, however, would benefit from some refurbishing. Coulnn't find a bar. no free internet connection. It says 4 stars, I think its more like 3.5, but overall OK for the rates we got. The Hotel. Very poor soundproofing of windows made it difficult to sleep due to traffic noise till 3am. This despite my room being one of the furthest away from the main road. Ventilation stinks and for this class of a hotel someone expects an internet wifi connection included in the price or at least fair priced.facility was so old, spcieally, elevator didn't work frequently,. Pretty much everything else.
