The apartment is well located in the center of the city. It is within walking distance to many attractions or to the Metro. I especially liked the fact that we were able to take the Aeroporter bus to & from the airport for a very reasonable price. You can walk from the drop off & pick up location for the Aeroporter to the apartment. The apartment was clean, well stocked with towels & there was even a lovely care package of wine, cheese & meat.
all reviews » Everything that we required was available. The welcoming pack was a pleasant surprise, because for a short stay you require food stuff in small quantities. The decoration and furnishings were stylish and conveyed a homely atmosphere. The location was excellent, close to Placa Catalunya, public transport, shops and even take away outlets. Appartment very chic and tastefully furnished. Excellent communication with staff and we were met on arrival by a lovely lady. (sorry can't remember her name). We did not receive a very friendly welcome from the host Arena. She appeared annoyed that we had not phoned her from the airport at 1345 when we landed. However, we did not have a phone & believed that the check-in time was 1500 hrs. We called Arena from the area of the apartment using a local phone from the hotel across the street . Otherwise all was fine. Street view and entrance to apartment building not apealing. For the price I would expect toiletries in bathroom. And a welcome bottle of water, milk, coffee would have been nice. Poor lighting - lots of bulbs missing A bit chic-shabby Extra bed we paid for not provided until 8pm 1st night (we arrived at 9 a.m). Stairway and lifts uninviting, and the glass panelling was cracked. Hard to find. There is no reception, so one needs to make earlier arrangement to pick up the keys. No room services. It has very nice furniture and amenities but some needs updating such as the rugs and sofa. Some of the appliances need replacement such as the hair dryer, the Iron and the clothing dryer. Great place. The lift was broken on arrival, leaving several flights of stairs to navigate with heavy luggage (in fairness it was fixed by Tuesday). The stairwell was REALLY dark - is it so hard to put in a couple of lightbulbs, huh ?. Poor wifi performance - worked one day out of 3 Some noisy nighbours. We bought pizza to have for afternoon snack, but the oven didn`t work. The coffee machine was not in good shape, and there where some lightbolbs that needed to be replazed with new once. It would be nice if there was some more information regarding Barcelona in the apartment. Information like musicfastivals, happenings and general things to do and where to find it. Nothing really. customer service. There is no room services cuz it is private owner. there was no name on the door and it was really hard to find there should be better signs so that you know that they are apartments and not an old warehouse which is what it looked like from outside. some things were not working properly, such as light switches, kettle and toilet flush. Check out rules very strict and despite paying a $60 cleaning fee they insisted we empty the rubbish bins and take them out to the street ourselves. The poor service by the rep. She didn't show us around the apartment. Not convinced the building is safe, we were not shown where the fire exits were. They recorded my credit card details on a written form. they made us wait for 2 hours to get in. Check in was at 3 we arrived at 7 and followed all instructions. They could not accommodate us and made us wait in front of the building for over an hour. the woman (Yasmin) on the phone was horrid!. We was waiting our check-in manager for 30 min at the porch. No glasses and cups in the room. Our check-in manager promised to solve the problem and forgot. Furniture is old and disgusting table-cloth is holed. We put our cases on top Of the wardrobes and when we took them off there was dust everywhere.
