Europian level of the 4 star hotel on the green outskirts of huge city. But still close and quickly to get to the center (4-5 metro station); metro is 3 min walk. Quick check in and glass of shampain for guests from letsbookhotel.com - nice bonus. The room is clean, modern and spacious. Wi-fi is really good. The linen is marvelous, where do they get it? all reviews » The Best Western Vega was a very positive surprise. I was a bit scared if the low price for this hotel in Moscow would result in a lower quality, but everything was nice and is in line with their description of the hotel. Room on 16th floor was completely new and modern refurbished, the bathroom was very nice and the room size is also OK. I choose this hotel as I stayed downtown the last times and I was looking for a jogging/running opportunity. The park next to the hotel is very nice to do so. Great staff, all speak English. Very helpful with any queries.Great location, next door to Izmailovo Park and market.We found this market the cheapest for souvenirs. The Rooms were a reasonable size and clean. Comfortable bed.Heaps of restaurants and food shops around. Take the metro into Red Square. It's only 5 stops and will cost around $1. If you have time go for a walk in the park. It's enormous. . The hotel location was very good 5 min walk to the train station (red line) which is a direct line to the red sqare, around the hotel they are shops and rest which are open for 24 hrs. We were upgraded to the 23rd floor which had 24hr tea and coffe service and an iron room, it was our bd so we were suprised with a ballon, bd wish card and a cake when we came back, which was very sweet of them. The hotel has an airticket and train booking desk where we booked our tickets to saint petersburg with. Location is Perfect. Very easy to get to center by metro in 20 minutes. Staff is very qualified, easy to communicate and helpful. Clean room, furniture and decoration in high standards. Only negative thing: We were kept waiting until 13:30 pm said that there was no available room, later we first proposed smoking room for half an hour early entry -although we asked for non-smoking, later we were proposed for single bed instead of double bed. We refused single, they said they will combine but it . The Hotel and Staff are Fantastic, most of the staff speak English so you can get by , the buffet breakfast , lunch and supper are a little expensive but a good choice and tasty food , there are a few shops in the area you can buy products at but shop in each of the shops as they are all priced different, the Metro ( Subway ) is close to the hotel and that is the only way to get around in Moscow,( Get a map of the metro and don't get lost ), Had a great time and will recommend this Hotel and Mo. I spent a lot of time choosing a hotel in Moscow, looking for the best combination of price, location and service level. Vega hotel has it all and we stay very happy. Easy to find, 5 minutes from metro, cafes/pubs/shops near by. Huge Souvenir market, and beautiful tourist attraction Izmailovskoe podvorie are within 3-5 min walk. Hotel looks modern, clean and secure (only guests are allowed in lifts), staff was very helpful and you can leave luggage after check-out for up to 6 hours free. We enjoyed the "convention centre" atmosphere, because we were in Moscow, and got to see some wedding activities and business meetings, which took place inside the various hall. We liked that there were a few restaurant options to choose from, and the prices were reasonable, considering that Moscow is very expensive. They offered us complementary coffee and dessert at the bar downstairs, which was very nice. The front was very friendly. A professional atmosphere. It is very close to Partizanskay Subway Station. Very clean hotel. Some walking distance form very beautiful shopping areas where we had a great meal there. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores were around round the clock. There were a very beautiful cultural center near the hotel which I don't know the name. But worth visiting. The metro is very close, which is very good as you can't do really anything in the area, there just 4 hotels, the park and the Izmailovo Kremlin. The hotel said there was a complimentary coffee room on the floor. There wasn't. No tea and coffee making facilites in the room.Probably if you asked they would supply. It's the only adverse thing about the hotel. All was good. If you arrive early, the staff is very succesful to offer you their worst rooms for a few minutes early entry, and at the end they do not pay attention to your preferences even when you do not accept their bargain. Other things are perfect except a slight smell of moisture in the room and two single beds instead of double. I found Moscow to be a Little expensive so shop around , and be careful as it is easy to get lost , Get a street map and a metro map. Nothing significant at all. Take your own shampoo as the provided one made my hair really dry. This large hotel and three others a a little far away and remote, although about five minutes from the subway. If you want to eat, it would have to be a one of the hotels. The bathroom needs to have the equipment screwed in tighter. I shower stall overflowed. Don't count on internet. It comes and goes. Receptionist were inexperience and mislead us sometimes. Their manager helped us in two cases. Concierge persons was not that helpful. It seems that they want to get raid of you. Don't buy any ticket from hotel. They charge you up to double the original price. Room was small and price of breakfast was sky high. Restaurant a little expensive especially the wine which when selected was not available and substituted by inferior wine. Keep to the bottled beer more reasonable than the draught. The lobby bar doesn't contain alchogol in its menu. (Only beer) The minus was that you need to show your card to guard at every time you use the lift. Friday night there was abundance of "paid love" in the lobby. The bars didn't serve wine, they dont have a licence yet. No free breakfast Luggage keeping is not free for more than 6 hours (100 Rubles per bag). Nothing in particular!. English is an issue but it is so for Moscow in general... The fact that i couldnt stay bit longer :) due to other travel plans!. Nothing. There is nothing i did not like about this hotel. The local metro station seemed a little rough but it was well policed. After a couple of days I felt comfortable passing through it. Breakfast ridiculously expensive. Personnel is extremely impolite, even a simple question is an extreme effort for them to answer, especially those in the restaurant for breakfast. I booked the airport pick up but nobody was there at my arrival. Italian tv channels are missing. The wifi connection in the room should be improved. -The price could be a litlle lower -Security guys check 24h every person who comes and I feel very uncomfortable. The biggest issue is that the hotel is isolated. There are not many restaurant options near by outside of fthe hotel complex. However, this is off set by the fact that it is very near the metro and Red Square is just 5 stops (about 20 minutes away). Moscow itself is fantastic. Food is very expensive. Nothing, in fact. Could be a bit daunting to get to for first time visitors. i realy didn't have liked that in room was stink of cigarets. I have asked for no smoking but they don't esist. I kept window open all day and night just to have fresh air. Smokie room. anyway the rest was fine. Meal, I mean there are plenty of dishes but as for quality it could be more delicious. Location though the subway is very close to the hotelto get to the center of Moscow takes you about 20-30 minutes. Stayed only one night :). surrounding area is awful, bad shops, poor cafes, no normal supermarket. Congregating prostitutes in the coffee shop. Smokers areas in coffee shop. Cup of tea would have been nice. The room given me was opposite of the tea room which designed for staffs. And it was so loudly. Nothing for me. Parking was a bit too expensive. the metro stain was without elevator. Not easy to climb with luggage. I found the staff surly, and not too friendly.
