We booked this place due to the fact that it is 7-8 minutes by car from the airport and because we needed to spend the night close to the airport (between 2 flights). The place is spotless from all points of view. First, as communicated by email, somebody waited for us at the airport and drove us to the hotel, for free. Next day, since the car was not available for transfer to the airport, the hotel paid our taxi. Second, the room is spacious, clean and very quiet. The same is valid for the bat.
all reviews » I have always been positively impressed by the professionalism displayed by the staff: I was greeted in the arrival hall by one of the drivers, driven in safe conditions to the hotel, offered a spacious and clean room and then woke up next morning by the receptionist for an early breakfast in such a way that I could catch the early-morning internal flight. Breakfast was good, enough for a good start of the day. After having used Vila Toparceanu as an intermediary stopover for the second time th. The hotel was spotless and the room was well designed to give ample space. The owner, Madalina, was wonderful. Her english was excellent and she bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. There are no restaurants nearby but the hotel one was quite good and they make good pizza. Their shuttle service to and from the airport is very handy and the distance is short. We took a taxi to the first stop on the hop on - hop off bus circuit and it was only $5.00 and about 15 minutes travel time. Thi. I read they had reliable shuttle service and man wa that true. We arrived 2 hours late at midnight and they were there with a sign to meet us. The shuttle driver refused my gratuity as well saying this was his job. The hotel is absolutely charming and the rooms delightful. Like being in someones private home. They are located in a neighborhood near the airport. They ask you what time you want to eat breakfast and cook for you a feast. I would recommend this place all day long for coming and goi. Very efficient staff, the rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. They provide free transfer from the airport so our arrival was quick and smooth. It is a good base to spend the night before or after a flight but I would also recommend it to visitors of the capital who want some peace and quiet after a day of sightseeing. We will definitely return!. The staff was great. We arrived 3 hours earlier and they made our check in right away. They were very friendly, helped us advices abous travelling to Bucharest, even a driver to take us ( very cheap) so we dont get lost. In conclusion, a great place to stay when you go to Bucharest, and want a calm place to stay, away from the noise of the city. Had a large and very comfortable room with great tv channels. Really appreciated the white wine in the minibar! Lots of space to get organized for the trip home. The vila is located 5-7 minutes by car away from the airport. They provide free transfer. Rooms are sparkling, large and modern, food is great, the staff very friendly. We liked the spotless condition of the room and whole hotel, and the willingness to help shown by the staff. We had a very early start, yet the staff were very happy to serve us a very early breakfast and take us to the airport free of charge, not even accepting a tip. We arrived via a taxi driver who was lost and very angry. The owners stood outside and flagged us down. They served us a great dinner and were up at 5:50 am the next morning to get us to the airport and even offered us breakfast. Wonderful folks! Lovely facility also. It is in a residential area and not close to the city, but it close to the airports, IKEA etc. They do evening meals which are perhaps a bit basic but they are good. A bit difficult to find if you're driving because the street it's on is only a couple of blocks long. There was a dog who barks a lot across the street, but what can you do you are in a neighborhood. We had a problem with the hot water which inconvenienced us for more than 1h and this was after a long day and a late flight. The wifi didn't work in the room - didn't affect me on this trip, but for business travelers it would. Also there was a bit of a kerkuffle with the airport pickup and we waited for over an hour in the July sun. But I think this is the exception, not the norm. Would definitely stay here again. A little hard to find if you don't have a GPS or MAP, and the National Road DN1 doesn't allow you to turn left to shortcut, and you have to drive up to the airport or back on the Ring Road of Bucharest. Having said that it would no doubt add to the cost although at these prices we could afford it. This didn't spoil our stay in any way. wonderful place. If driving from the airport, travel south down the main road and take right turn just before next bridge over a main road heading east/west. Half a mile later turn right and then next left. Nothing. Nothing. One great staffer but he was stretched a little thin, some confusion in the morning plans. Nothing.
