good location, very helpful reception staff, and the beds in the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had an execellent choice. We booked our trip to Auschwitz from the hotel which was the same price as outside and you get picked up from the hotel, well worth the visit. We are couple of 65; 73 and we enyojed very much our stay at this hotel. Is new and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room is very pleasant. The location is also very good, the hotel is walking distance from the central and interesting places and restaurantes.
all reviews » The staff were probably the most helpful that I have come accross in a long time. Both Ulla and Sylvia went to great lengths to ensure that we made the most of a rainy day in Krakow. Both my wife and I would stay there again. There is in the centre of the city. The hotel staff is excellent. There wireless internet facility each rooms. When booked the Ascot hotel was priced Euro's, I was not happy when I was told before booking in had to pay in Zlotys ?.the bar was a bit small and closed early in the evening. Although not a big problem, try to get a room not facing the railroad track for a bit more quiet.Hotel was not busy so breakfast hot dishes (egg) had been lying too long in the server. They should prepare it in smaller quantities and refresh it at regular intervals, a large tray off egg lying for 2-3 hours is not very nice however as the server was nearly empty on the first morning I requested fresh and the waitress arranged for it immediately and others already in the room came up to take advantage of the fresh supply so more than one person had the desire for the fresh hotter food!!. the only thing was we arrived late at night and he bar as closed at 11pm. i think as residents we should have had the option of buying a drink, which is why i only marked good for facilities.Our room was not air conditioned so was hot and noisy at night. However, it was exceptionally hot weather!. The only thing I would mention is that the hotel directory in the room was in Polish. Perhaps other language versions should be thought of.Minor point only.you hear every train that passes by your hotel room window if you have a room facing the back!. Trains run close to the hotel.
