All the staff I came into contact with were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous, ready to offer suggestions to individual queries about food, sights to see and travel alternatives.The breakfast was good value for money. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and towels were changed daily. Visiting in November meant that a warm room was essential - my room was comfortably warm. The room was furnished in a simple yet functional way. The coffee/ tea making facility in the room was much apprecia.
all reviews » The hotel is situated in an old, but greatly renovated, tenant house. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. The ceiling was high, allowed for plenty of air to breathe. The mini bar was full, and breakfast varied and more than sufficient. The produce was fresh, bread from a bakery, not from a supermarket. Selection of teas for breakfast great, and coffee very tasty. Ladies serving breakfast always polite and smiling. The location is spon on. There are local outdoor markets near and the property is very close to major tram lines. Plus, Old Town is only a few hundred metres away. The staff could not be more helpful--actually incredible--and the desk is staffed 24 hours a day. The breakfest is excellent and a true bargain. In addition to the buffet, they prepare eggs and breakfast meat to order. This is a best deal in Krakow!. This is a really nice place. A great way for us to break up the hostel life with a comfortable hotel room. Wi-fi was strong and the bathroom was clean and new. Staff were always attentive and helpful. It is located about a 2 minute walk from Old Town but is not in a noisy area. The area seems pretty safe also. In fact you can walk most places of interest in Krakow from this hotel. Nearby there was a 24-hour convenience store and an excellent vegetarian cafe. (I was OK with the tram, but rowdy, drunken young people coming out of the bars in the wee hours did prevent me from sleeping at the weekend). I would appreciate if the window curtains, and the window sills were not so dusty. I have nothing bad to say. Some towels were very worn with big holes. The wardrobe only had 5 hangers which is a bit on the low side for 2 people staying two weeks in winter. Balcony did not inspire confidence as railing shifted. Slightly unpleasant smell in the bathroom but otherwise clean rooms. Couldn't fault anything. Some renovation would be good. Breakfast was a big disappointment. And the noise is especially acute and unpleasant at night so perhaps installing some sound proof windows will help those poor souls who like me were not lucky enough to get a room in the quite part side of the building. On the other hand I wonder now why I was given me a room from the street side if I saw empty rooms opposite the corridor. One of the receptionists wasn't quite as helpful when I told her there was no hot water one morning she didn't even look up she also booked the wrong day for our trip to aucshwitz we got there in the end under our own steam. Our double bed wasn't a double, but two singles pushed together that would easily move apart, which didn't make for the most comfortable nights sleep. We had room 19 this time which faces the street, tram noise might annoy some people but we didn't notice it that much. nothing to dislike. the noise of a woodworm in the roof beams, in the night!. Nothing. A little bit noisy, voices came from upper ground and outside, but only friday and saturday nights. Small room for three persons. Old buildning very charming but you could hear other guests walking on the seiling and talkning on the stairway when they arrived late at night. Nothing. There were no mugs in the room for coffee. We had to use the glasses as when I asked I was told they didn't have mugs?. Nothing !. was promised a top floor room but given a room at the first floor. Sheets on bed didn't fit properly....Too short! Safe was broken so unable to use. Door lock on bathroom broken and despite reporting, it remained broken for the duration of our stay. Breakfast could have been better, coffee from machine wasn't hot. Also being charged for a bottle of water we didn't take from minibar, brought it into hotel with us. One very small point, the maid sometimes came in an did some things, but not all, but what she did was well done. I had to ask for coffee in the room most days. This is just a small point. Nothing. The rooms at the front of the hotel were a bit noisy. Plus you could hear other guests moving around upstairs. We could hear people upstairs at night time when trying to sleep. Nothing. As there was no food served at the Hotel when I arrived (9.00pm) I had to go outside for something to eat (which was no problem) however it would have been good to have been provided with a list of possible options and their location to the Hotel. Wifi not available in Room(needed to prepare trip) and when available was not so reliable. Mini-fridge was so full with Hotel Food and Drinks that there was no space to put our own things. Quad room very cramped. One small wardrobe and no room to put anything. too great acoustics.
