The service was great there - the breakfast at the same standard. The room was great. Clean, all necessary accessories. The breakfast was very nice. A great selection of fresh food and fruits - great juice from bottles on ice - even a little smootie shot was made - topped it with serving coffee at the table and keeping the area clean all the time. This is a great example of how a hotel should should be ran. The staff were greatful all the time, the cleaning personel said hello and smiled Had a .
all reviews » The hotel staff were fantastic, we arrived with two bikes after cycling from Bergen and the staff were very helpful and stored them securely for us during our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel has a lovely position on the river. Also the breakfast was wonderful a lot of variety something for everyone. The best hotel we stayed in in Norway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and a very welcome site after the cabin we spent two nights in on the Hurtigruten boat! The breakfast was AMAZING. The most beautiful display of food imaginable. And everything we had was delicious. Everything. Spotlessly clean, fab shower, great beds with wonderful linen. And the breakfast is one of the best ever....so much choice and absolutely delicious. Staff are efficient and friendly... position of hotel is one of the best and airport express bus stops right outside the hotel. I could not believe the location of this place. It was very close to the train station, the downtown tourist area and the "sunny side" (sorry I don't know it in Norwegian). There wasn't anything that we didnt like, perhaps only that the standard twin/double rooms are a little small and there wasn't much of a view but that did not bother us in the slightest. We were in a rush to catch a train so couldn't full relax into the sumptuous breakfast on offer!. Nothing to dislike!!. The first room I was in was above the street and was noisy. They changed without any kind of a hassle at all for the rest of my stay. Comparatively expensive. Enjoyed it all. ...nothing to complain about. My standard room was relatively small, fortunately, it has a nice view on the river. Howevevr, I noticed that that the windows of some rooms on the opposite site of coridor were faced towards the close wall. It would be disappointing for me.... Limited range of TV channels. Business centre checkin could not print .pdf. They should have teapots. Better information about choices of coffee etc. The bed was not properly made ( 2 bed sheets which didnt match) Terrible music in the restaurant, I want soft music there, I.e jazz, instead of loud music. Or best, no music!. Nothing really. No swim pool. Sad that it was only one night. " The stay was to short". Limited facilities in rooms.
