  We stayed at a newly renovated room and the design and comfort was perfect, room was also very clean. - Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast, tea/coffee maker. In our room there was a bathroom with (dark) glass wall - so you can see what's happening inside from the room - you have to decide on your own whether it's a plus or not :)

  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay. The weather was so cold and awfull for our trip, we spent a lot of time on the boat, it was warm, there were hundreds of good DVDs so we watched loads, and fed the swans, and ducks through the open window! Mini-Bar is automatic so you cannot put anything else to the fridge. In the room there's kettle and choise of tee, coffee and cacao bags that is being refilled after room cleaning (daily).

  BB Canaliscious is a great place to stay in Amsterdam, much better than a hotel. Milan & Natasha were fantastic and did everything possible to make this a great stay, including finding a secure bike parking garage for our touring bikes and lending us an extra lock. It is very close by a couple of supermarkets and a short walk to the tram stop, Vongelpark and museum area. The apartm - The owners were very helpful and kind, and carried our heavy suticases up the narrow stairs. The apartment was clean and very comfortable with a useful kitchen filled with appliances. There was a great view of the canal and it was very quiet. A few minutes walk to 2 different tram stations which made it easy to get into the city's central locations. I would recommend it to my friends.

  Being an apartment situation, we never did meet the staff so can't comment; however, they were certainly accessible by the room phone. We can not say enough good things about our studio apt. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette well supplied, the bathroom beautiful.
