  Frankly, it was the best choise I have ever made. &Quot;House of Amstel" is very central in terms of location, you can find the place very easily just a few minutes of walking from Dam Sqaure, it is actually at the intersection of several busy streets such as Damrak and Amstel ; it's called Muntplein. Apart from excellent location the place is very comfortable, you have everything under your hand. You can - We were met at the apartments by Kai who explained everything for us and gave us some great tips on things to do whilst we were there. The apartments were very clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. It was located a few minutes from Dam Square, one of the main attractions in Amsterdam. There was a great view of the river Amstel from the apartment windows with all the boats passing by at regular intervals.

  Host was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Amazing apartment, very much of a bespoke open plan environment. Number 4 tram runs every few mins about 5 mins walk away to central Amsterdam! I would recommend this apartment to anyone hoping to see the sights and visit Amsterdam with a little luxury.   The room and the living room were large enough for our family and very comfortable. The bed mattress was very comfortable to sleep and it was very quiet. The wifi connection was very good. The lady who cooked for us makes eggs by your request. The kitchen is available for us to cook at night so we cooked one night. Nice restauran - The Old Lady is a restored terrace on the canal in Amsterdam. We rented the apartment which is spacious, comfortable and clean. The building is very well located only minutes from the railway station and right on one of the canals. Most of the city's attractions, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The hosts are very cooperative and an excellent breakfast was provided.

  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay.   The owner/staff were fantastic - friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable. The single rooms were on the small side, as it is an old family house but that added to the character. It felt like being a house, rather than a hotel, guest. There were great extra touches like fresh flowers everywhere and a newspaper at breakfast. The manager/host on weekday mornings, Henk, was very helpful. He offered to assist me in carrying a tray of food to my room for my sleepy sister on at least three mornings.   The setup, cleanliness, friendliness and the fact there were only 2 studio apartments. Not noisy as a result.
