Although check in was not until 3pm, I arrived after a long flight at 10.00am. The receptionist, I'm sorry, but I dont know his name, he always smiles and seems to be always there,asked me to make myself comfortable in the lobby whilst he sorted something out. True to his word, within 15 minutes he had sorted a room for me and 10 minutes on I was fast asleep...Thank you!. The hotel staff were extremely courteous and helpful at all times. Theactual hotel is very chic, and the hotel is so central it is only a veryshort walk from Amsterdam Central Station. We had a thoroughly enjoyablestay. We will definitely return.
all reviews » This was our 4th stay at the Golden Tulip and as usual the service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent. This Hotel is in the best position for visiting all the sites and is just a 5 minute stroll from the station. I loved it, the breakfast was excellent as well as the staff. The bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere was pleasant. The lighted planters outside the breakfast patio was a very nice touch.All staff were very helpful, friendly and spoke English, which made us very comfortable. Its location was perfect for walking,sightseeing, transport to/fromCentral Station, shopping and food. I was very near to the Central Station and to the Centre. Price /Quality was very good. We didn't get the breakfast, but bare in mind that the prices for food in Amsterdam are high.I have stayed in your hotel several times alone,as well as with my daughter.We both liked our stay and will recommend the Golden Tulip to our friends in America. So many hotels have Tulip in their name that people kept directing me to a wrong one. the hair dryer in my room was broken and did not get fixed. Maybe a little expensive, but that may be me reacting to the pathetic buying power of the dollar these days!. The window in our room was not sound proof. We could hear every noise from outside.double was two singles with big dip in middle but was very comfy. the only thing bad was i thought the breakfast was very dear. Maybe the brerakfast was too expenisve why do many hotels charge 20 Euros for some eggs , bacon , bread etc. very poor room lighting. hard to read. The AC/Heating system in the room didn't run properly, very weak. Had to pay for fitness 15 Euro. Ouch! Breakfast in house too expensive to even consider, since there are about 15 breakfast places within 30 seconds walk from hotel at 1/2 the price.we had a problem with air-conditioner and was very cold in the room. It would have been nice to have a view from the window.

There is parking available in Q-park Nieuwendijk public parking garage. The parking fee is EUR 2 for 20 minutes (or a part of it). As a guest of the hotel you pay EUR 28.00 per 24 hours. This special rate is only available at the reception of the hotel. The discounted rate per 24 hours is only available for guests who stay maximum 5 nights in a row. After this period, the normal rate applies, which is EUR 5.20 per hour. Please note that the fixed amount stated in the prepayment conditions is a security deposit. It is required upon arrival, and will be refunded after an inspection of the apartment on the day of departure. Please note that for non-refundable bookings credit card payments you will be charged in your local currency.
