Beate is fantastic, full of life, friendly, and always eager to make your stay more comfortable. Following a previous visit I placed an unfair negative comment about a "low quality" mattress on this site. When I visited 10 days later on my return trip I used the same room as before (Room 5), and what do you know - there was a brand new super comfortable mattress installed. Wow, now that's 5 Star service for you! Everything is perfect for me, peaceful & quiet, good WiFi, good breakfast, good.
all reviews » The atmosphere of the place and the friendliness of the staff. We were a group of 8, and needed an overnight stay from Europe before picking up 4 vehicles from Savannah, for a 4 week self planned trip in Mabia, Botswana dn Zim. The hotel was ideal for us. Welcome was friendly and the letsbookhotel.com directions and map made it easy to find. Room was spacious and had separate seating area. There was allocated secure parking. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice and fresh rolls were very welcome. Spacious appartment (much more than just a bedroom), very close to city centre. Our extremely helpful host, arranged taxis, gave us a personal very early morning call (5am) and made us a packed breakfast. Really great value for money. Very familiar atmosphere, good situated, at hillside of Klein Windhoek, upper class region, very nice and friendly german staff, rooms clean and warm, perfect breakfast. Very nice subtropical gardening around the house. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. It is actually really easy to remember where the place is. Rooms are tidy and comfortable although it was not equipped for a business traveller I still had a great stay there. we stayed there two night, the room was clean and spacious. the owners were very kind and helpful, they even prepared us a "take away" breakfast since we had to leave the room at 4.30AM to go to the airport. It is a little bit far from city centre (taxi needed in the evening, it costs 30NAD/person), wifi is not always workig, the swimming pool is very small and not so clean. For people who want to explore Windhoek city centre, the location might be a bit too decentral (for me it was perfect though after a safari to just relax). Location was a little difficult to find in the dark for a first time visitor, yet very easy after that. Extra bed was a bit uncomfortable. Pillow were too soft. It was a little problematic to locate. No main light in room. Water in shower drained very slowly. The wi-fi did not reach our room. Room was a bit dark.
